Back to when I was in elementary, I always wonder, "Where am I good at?" I tried joining in every activity, I tried declamation, oration, folk dance, and many more, trying to figure out my purpose. I was trying to find something that I could proudly say that I am good at.
It was in that very moment that my teacher approached me and asked me if I could represent our school in an essay writing competition. At first, I was afraid that I couldn't do it, I was afraid to disappoint our school. I was so nervous since it is my first time joining a writing competition and as well as competing with other schools. But then, my teacher reassured me that whatever the result may be, it will be okay. And to make the long story short, I won. After that, I have been competing with other schools since then, and now, I an a campus journalist.
Bonjour! Allow me to introduce my self, I am Melancholy [Meh-lan-kuh-lee], and yes, I am named after sadness. I love socializing with other people, however, I also enjoy being alone. I love love love going to coffee shops and reading a book. I am fascinated with the beauty of sunsets, skies, and sea. I also love looking at ancestral house, and I would love to own one someday. And oh, I love taking pictures of literally everything--may it be of myself, or the most random things, the only reason why I always need a companion whenever a I go out--to have someone take pictures of me.
I love to go out always, but I don't like it spontaneously since I have this habit of planning my day a night before. I am also the one who makes plan whenever me and my friends goes out, from the date to the places we should go to. I love coffee, however, I cannot drink it always because I just cannot handle the caffeine content per cup. I am a very sentimental person, I would rather receive crochet flower than real flower for the mere purpose of I can keep it longer. I love to reminisce memories, so I really keep everything that my friends gave me. I also started journaling just this year in where I put a picture of something that will reminds me of that day--of something that made my day (The screenshot of this might also end up in my journal giggles).
I started as someone who is curious of her capabilities, someone who is looking for a place where she could fit in, a place where she is surrounded by people who shares the same passion as hers, and so, I am really thankful to @ayane-chan for introducing me to this platform where I could write freely and as well as read other people's work of art.
I am really excited to explore this platform, to test my limits and go beyond it, to be more of who I am and to deepen my love for writing, and to finally, make my pen bleed--again and again.
