Hello,holla,bonjour my lovely reader’s, your melcakes is back with another blog! How are you guys? I hope everyone is doing fine!Let me share to you guys my journey as a Festival queen.This is quite late since its already a month of love but I wont missed on sharing my journey as a festival queen.
First and foremost,we were invited to join a sinulog festival near our barrio and without any hesitation we join the contest.My cousin is our choreographer while my tita's and my mommy are the one who helped us in preparing the props while my other cousins are like the glam team of the dancers.
At first I didn't know who was their festival queen but later on I was told that I will be the festival queen since my cousin already experienced it last year and won as the festival queen.Since I am a college student and I was kind of busy in that week so I only had a 2 days of practice.
During my practice I experienced a lot of trials which is I always tripped,I even got a bruised due to my costume and feel a lot of body pain.But yeah,It was part of the process.Process makes the journey worthwhile.NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU TRIPPED,JUST CONTINUE WITH WHAT YOU ARE DOING, CONTINUE YOUR LIFE AND KEEP GOING!
This is it!
The day that we are waiting for came.I woke up excited and fresh hahaha.When I got out at our house everyone was so busy.Everyone is having their busy life preparing for the contest and that's where I see the true essence of a barrio.Im proud of my barrio❤️
My sister is my makeup artist/assistant while my cousin is the one who does my hair.The preparation takes an hour,you know girls HAHAHAHAHA.
When everything is done we proceed to the event place,as we reached the place the street dancing started.It was truly a challenge for me because im too small for my costume.Sweats are all over my face, luckily I have my sister to wipe it and the one who gave me water every time I need it.Lov you sis🥰
I already expected that the event place would be a muddy due to heavy rain last night but I really never expected that my feet would go like this HAHAHAHAH.
Behind those pretty smile there is a feet who suffered HAHAHAH🤣
Well,back to the contest as soon as we reached the place I sit on the ground to relax my feet and to inhale some air hahaha.
During our performance I almost tripped since I accidentally stepped to the muddy ground.But thank God,It didn't happened hhooooo!! Our performance end smoothly.
