Everyone was very excited for the Sinulog Festival at our neighboring area.Before we head to the place where the Sinulog Festival will be held the dancers had their rehearsal wearing their costumes and head dress.Our neighbors are having a good time watching the rehearsal of the dancers.
Sinulog Festival is one of traditional Festival here in Philippines.The Sinulog Festival is the traditional festival in Cebu City as it always celebrated by the Cebuano in the month of January.Sinulog is a type of ritual prayer where Cebuano's are honoring the Sto.Niño (Child Jesus).
I was not part of the dancers but I was helping through holding the props and a choreographer of the festival queen.My cousins are part of the dancers and the festival queen was my cousin also the wives of my uncle's was holding the props behind.
Because of lack of budget we didn't have the chance to rent a costume for Sinulog Festival. So my Aunt decided that they will just create a hand made costume.My cousin create the head dress while my tita and other cousin was the one who made the yellow and red hand- heald fan.The head dress was made by card board,foil,and colored paper while the hand-held fan was made by carton and foil.

We are expecting that we have only few supporters of our representative that will come to the venue but we are wrong because when we arrived to the venue our neighbors was already there who's ready to support and cheer for our representative .Its like half of the people in our place was there cheering and enjoying the Festival because in what I saw half of the people who witnessed the Sinulog Festival was from our place.
The kids in our site was always ready for a competition as they give their best smiles and dance moves during the street dancing and dance show.They only have 3 weeks of practice but they managed to perform well. They are small but they are always ready for a dance sinulog challenge.
I was beyond proud of my cousin for winning the best in festival queen because imagined we only have 3 hours to practice during their rehearsal because in the past week we have our busy schedules so we didn't have the time to practice and I was just happy for my cousin for a job well done because she managed to take in mind the steps that I teach him.
After the performanced of both team the announcement of winners was announced immediately and yes! We won!.We make it to the champion.We win for best in Street dancing,Best in Choreographer,Best in Festival queen.A very job well done and a success performance for the both competitors.
After the celebration we already head back to our placed and had our dinner at the small eatery in our placed since our neighborh had his soft opening for his small business.

Ang saya talaga kapag may fiesta. Nakakasad kasi wala kami paganyan nung fiesta namin, yung sayaw sa daanan ba tapos may suot na mga ganyan costumes. Hays nakakamiss makanuod ng mga ganyang mananayaw. Pero Wait! Sinulog? Nakikita/basa ko lang yan sa Mapeh subject namin before. 💖
Masaya talaga pag may fiesta dahil makikita mo ang saya at ngiti ng mga tao na dumadalo sa fiesta.
