What a wonderful day as I celebrate three decades of God's faithfulness in my life.
I'm getting close to my thirties as the years pass and another decade arrives. It's a significant yet unreal milestone that combines anticipation, introspection, and a hint of nervousness. More than anything else, though, it's a chance to embrace a new chapter.
The whole family celebrated my birthday at the riverside spot called "Paper Tree." We shared a meal and truly missed bonding like this. We had a simple feast—grilled pork belly, eggplant salad, boiled vegetables with shrimp paste, mangoes, hotdogs, and grilled fish.
The Paper Tree Resort & Picnic Area is in Zambales, Philippines' San Marcelino. There are several ways to get there, including by tricycle, and the cost per person ranges from ₱50 to ₱100. On your way to Barangay Consuelo Norte from the south, enter the town of San Marcelino and follow the route.
Reputable for its peaceful surroundings and natural freshwater features, it's a great place to unwind and have family get-togethers.
Recent information indicates that Zambales natives are the resort's primary clientele. Guests must provide official identification that proves their residency.
A cottage must be rented, although there is no admission charge.
A place full of trees, cold winds, and a moment spent close to nature—it heals my soul. I find peace in the gentle rustling of the leaves and the crisp, fresh air. Away from the noise of everyday life, this sanctuary reminds me to slow down, breathe deeply, and be present. Nature's embrace is a gift, restoring my heart and spirit.
The twenties were a whirlwind of self-discovery, lessons learned, and dreams pursued. From navigating early career choices to forging lifelong friendships, this decade was all about laying the foundation for what's to come. It's been messy, beautiful, and transformative. I've laughed, cried, grown, and stumbled through it—and I wouldn't trade a single moment.
As I begin this new decade, I am thankful for the experience. These thirty years have been a patchwork of experiences that have moulded me in ways I would never have thought possible. I grew up surrounded by awe and the enchantment of limitless possibilities. I learned the value of curiosity throughout those years, and they also helped shape who I would become.
Adolescence was an emotional rollercoaster filled with firsts, development, and experiences.
I appreciate the lessons acquired, friendships, and ideals imparted throughout those periods. They facilitated the subsequent self-discovery.
My twenties were a time of exploration, resilience, and self-awareness. I found strength in my failures, celebrated small victories, and learned the art of perseverance. These years taught me to embrace the journey, not just the destination.
Every moment, every person, and every challenge has played a role in shaping my story. For that, I am deeply grateful. Here's to honouring the past while stepping boldly into the future.
Turning 30 feels like shedding old skin. It's a time to become a more confident, grounded, and self-assured version of myself. There's something liberating about knowing who you are and what you stand for. The insecurities of the twenties start to fade, replaced by a quiet confidence that whispers, "I've got this."
Reflecting on this moment, I hope to see it as the beginning of something great. I've remained true to myself, pursued joy tirelessly, and accepted obstacles gracefully. Here's to making the 30s the most fulfilling decade yet.
As I begin my journey, I am reminded that age is nothing more than a number. What truly matters are the memories we create and how we spend our lives.
