Have you ever felt the heat? Here in the Philippines, we have felt it for many months already, and because of the very hot weather here which sometimes reaches 40 degrees in the heat index. Almost all schools had a face-to-face class suspension and opted to have modular or online classes and it is until the end of the school year. I felt I was not alone in my Maternity leave 😁.
In addition to the hot weather, we were deprived of the very thing we were looking for during these times. Water, no water supply. Almost 4 months of no water supply here in our Sitio. We had to buy water from another town for our daily use of water (washing dishes, laundry, our daily bath, the toilet, and cleaning the house). To save water, we only do laundry once every two weeks 😁 and have baths in a basin so that the water can be used for flushing the toilet.
Thankfully, Daddy found a place to cool down our hot feelings 🤭. He brought us to a place where we could escape the heat of the sun. I don't have any idea of the place since we haven't gone to the place where it was. Daddy just saw and knew the place when he was going to Tuburan to get some Samaritan's Purse TGG and on the way there while he was passing Tabuelan he noticed some young men on the street who came from a fresh bath and saw the little cold spring just beside the street.
When we arrived at the place, the kids were not happy at the looks of it since it was just a small area, and the surroundings were mostly dirty because it was just beside the street. We saw a few people there, some were taking a bath, and more on washing their clothes.
Janneah's first reaction was not good, haha, but when we went down we were amazed at the crystal-clear water. Even if some were washing their dirty clothes, the soap didn't change the clearness of the water. Immediately, Janneah's mode changed when she saw the water closely and jumped into it together with her sister and Daddy.
I touched the water with the tip of my toe and it was so cold. Slowly immersed my feet and felt the coldness of it.
Daddy got busy with their swimming lesson 😁. Janneah was so eager to learn how to swim but Jewel was so scared to try to swim. Good for the kids because the water was not deep and just below the waist level on that day. It was safe even if they didn't know how to swim yet.
How we wish to have this kind of place near to our house. We had a quick lunch break inside the multi-cab and spent the whole day swimming there. People in that town were so blessed by God to have that place. They just come and go to take a quick bath, to wash their dirty clothes and some even wash their dishes there. But nothing to worry about because the water is flowing and the dirt is easily washed away and you cannot see any unpleasant would.
We enjoyed ourselves so much and were refreshed on our escape from the hot sun. Janneah learned how to swim and it was a great family bonding that we had. It was already 4 pm and the kids did not want to go home yet. We promised them that we would go back the next week and bring our dirty clothes since we had no water to use for our laundry.

I always passed by on that cold spring in Tabuelan Ma'am @mommyjane It is clean and clear and a lot of locals do swimming and wash their laundry on that area.
