It's been a long time of inactivity due to workloads that I don't even realize that this contest/challenge is about to end.
I didn't even visit the discord, or any interactions, and apology for that. Gomenasai! 🙇♂️
I was an inactive mammal who was awake because of the heavy rain just kidding lol
Last week for this Art Challenge and I still don't have any idea on my mind just like my wallet it's empty Hahaha.
I know I don't have a chance to win or to be chosen for this event but one thing is for sure, I will always do my thing, I create art with a heart!

Honestly speaking, we are living in the world of Innovation, AI or advanced sh*ts will replace people someday and we have to accept the truth (emotional damage)
Anyways, I'm here to share or just to try this challenge, and this is my entry.
- The Sunflower

It was inspired by the Sunflower that I saw at Lambingan Hills last week, I published a blog about it tho.
Artmats that I've used:
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brushes
- Canvas Panelboard
- Palette and palette board
- Retarder and,
- Art Canvas Stand
- Madapaking water (H2O)
I made a sketch first for my guide using a pencil and of course my hand sometimes my mouth doesn't cooperate so I don't have a choice lol! Still undecided If I will do it horizontally or vertically.
I just made a visible guide so I can erase it when I start the painting process, sometimes there are many changes in the process considering the best angle, the best lighting, and the stroke.
honestly, I didn't consider this lol I just do what I think is the best for the artwork I give more time to the process, not to the result. You have to enjoy the process so you can appreciate the final piece.
I prepare all materials that I need and when using acrylic you are literally racing against time as it can dry quickly glad that I've had a retarder it is a game changer especially when you are frustrated along the process of your painting.
I also have this canvas art stand cause I prefer to do the artwork while I'm in a standing position, It's kinda weird but I can focus more on that and I found it more comfortable but most of the artists do their artwork sitting on a chair It's a matter of preference anyways. Just make sure you are comfortable (comfortable but not attached) If you know what I mean XD
I started first at the background and I painted it with just a normal black
slowly but surely, when it comes to petals as the stroke and shapes become more detailed patience is the key when you are working with acrylic if you want to achieve your desired toning personally I'm still struggling with the color mixture It freaks me out most of the time
sometimes excitement makes the artwork ruined too, by getting touchy, the artwork will end up messy and it takes time again to recover it.
You have to repeat the process again
This is what I've learned in doing this artwork sometimes being too excited and emotional will lead you to a wrong decision, painting taught me how to be calmer and patient everything will be great if you know how to wait and now I apply it to my everyday life.
