Hello, my Dear Hivers!
So busy these past few months, I'm still adjusting to my new job in a BPO company and of course on the graveyard shift, and now I can cope with it I just find it peaceful when it comes to traveling if you're from PH you already know what I mean lol
I hope everyone is doing well, I just want to share with you guys my experience last weekend when we conducted our 2nd Tree planting event for this year and this time we have a lot of participants and volunteers from different places.
Another Tree Planting Activity was successfully done by the Seeds of Hope Society PH in Brgy. San Roque, Angono, Rizal on October 21, 2023.
The event is attended by 114 individuals from Seeds of Hope Society and their volunteers, Angono MENRO, headed by Sir Gilbert Merino, Sir Michael Blanco of The Blanco Family Museum, and Boy Scouts students from Fernando Ma. Guerrero Elementary School with a collaborative effort with Global SME Loans Inc. and Helix Aggregates.
Same as before, we rent a van for every volunteer so they can feel comfortable on their journey plus to avoid inconvenience on commuting.
We arrive at the planting area at 7 AM followed by registration and checking the lists of participants to verify and confirm if there's no left out.
We started the event at 8 AM with just a short program.
Prayer, briefing, do's and don'ts during the event, and most importantly discussing the importance of tree planting and why it is necessary It was all discussed by our Core Leaders.
A short discussion and reminders are also given by MENRO which help us to be more aware of our surroundings.
We accumulated 400 seedlings of Guyabano and Narra Tree and all of them are successfully planted.
There's an epic muddy trail to reach the planting area about 10-15 mins of trekking to get there it's kinda slippy but all of us enjoy the journey.
In the planting area
We asked volunteers to get their own seedlings so they can plant them right away they just need to find or dig a hole for each seedling, glad that they have their own pieces of equipment like gloves and shovel cause it is so badly needed since the surface is quite rocky.
This is so wholesome! A Mother and her son planting together, this is the youngest volunteer in this event and I'm so happy to witness their willingness to plant and contribute to Mother Nature, I'm pretty sure that this kid is raised well salute to his Parents ❤
This activity is so fun and enjoyable, aside from helping nature you can also able to breathe fresh air and keep you relaxed.
A very meaningful event that will make our earth greener and preserved, Kudos to the team especially to the Seeds of Hope for the initiative.
Anyways, we have upcoming Tree planting for this November and that will be the last for this year so If you have time and want to experience this one-of-a-kind volunteering activity. We will be more than happy to see you on board.
Here's the link for the registration in case you have any questions or inquiries you can reach us on our Facebook Page.
