Hello!
It's been a while since my previous post, and to be really honest, I kind of miss updating you all on my life by writing here. Anyway, let me wish you all a good new year and hope your first half of January is going well.
Since it's already new year, there are undoubtedly many of us who have plans or resolutions for 2024. As for myself, one of the things I have planned to do is visit museums that I have never been to before.
Since I also had a two-day personal break, I made the decision to visit the Pinto Art Museum. The museum is not too far from my home; all I have to do is take the recently opened LRT station nearby to travel to Antipolo, which costs only 20 pesos.
From there, I take a jeepney from the station going to the Antipolo church, and finally, I ride a tricycle that will take me to the entrance of the Pinto Art Museum. Since the museum is inside the village, I have to pay the guard house 10 pesos to enter.
I didn't take a picture at the main museum gate when the tricycle dropped me off there since I entered right away. Adult admission is 250 pesos, but seniors and students get in for less. I was given a map after paying the entrance fee, which I opened as soon as I walked through the main door. I'm so overwhelmed by everything I saw that I can't even begin to decide where to start. It's good and really impressive museum. It's like a garden museum outside which I like.
So there's a lot of arts there which I immediately became my favorite, so one of my favorite is this: it's like a person that cut in half but the inside is illuminating. So upon reading, this is from filipino artist, Joshua Limon Palisoc which creates figurative sculptures that not only explore the exterior of the human body but also shine a light on people’s inner life.
So the museum displayed his art as a series named Ephemeral Vessels and this is his first solo show. And I really impressed! The artwork is inspired by concepts from Filipino Psychology, including loob (personality of conscience), labas (physical body, and lalim (reason). The poses with their arms outstretched and backs arched, others appear more calm and at peace.
Guys, just think about how many stories are already attached to just one piece of art. Now, picture the stories attached to all the paintings, sculptures, posters, and other works of art that are posted or on exhibit here. One day is not enough to examine them all.
I'll share some of the images here to give you an idea of the other works of art that I adore and that quickly became my favorites:
So, that's the some of the arts that I became my favorite.
The experience was good and calming that's why I decided to visit more museums soon, ofcourse, I'll share my experience here.
Do you folks also enjoy going to museums? Which museums have you already been to, or can you suggest some that I should check out next? I'm eager to find out. See yoou in the comments. 😊

Have you tried The Metropolitan Museum of Manila (The M) here in BGC? 😁
Yes, that’s on my list! I had a reservation there for yesterday, but I had to run some errands, so I decided not to go. Maybe I'll try again next week.☺️
