I left Camp Sano with a heaven heart. It has been my awesome home for a night and with the break of dawn, a serenity I longed for unvealed before me. If plans weren't in place (hotel bookings, flight back to my home Province to catch, etc.), I honestly would've stayed a bit longer in Camp Sano. I suggest doing at least 1 night 2 days here during your visit.
I geared up and waited for my hired driver. Right after breakfast, we made our way to the next stop, a quaint beach not far away. In my extensive research for must-visit destinations in the area, I stumbled across this destination that according to writers one should not missed when in this part of the country.
I had three to four destinations on my list that day including a waterfall, a lake, an island, a sandbar but of course, I'm that kind of traveler who won't mind spreading my energy too thinly in a day. 😂 It hasn't been long when we left Camp Sano when my hired driver for that day slowed down and motioned that the destination was on the left side. I couldn't clearly see Mahoc Beach as houses and trees were blocking the view. We parked the motorcyle and moved towards one of the houses there. We asked one of the owners if we could pass by to reach the beach. The old lady granted our request.
Soon my eyes met the serenity of Mahoc Beach that morning. I finally saw the long and curved stretch of cream sand beach. As you can see in the photos below, the beach isn't as white and fine as Boracay Island or Panglao's Alona Beach but it's better than most beaches I've been to. The beach is somehow enclosed in a cove. Big waves came crashing to shore which made our stay even more interesting.
There are beach resorts in the area for those who'd like to stay longer or even overnight here in Mahoc Beach. I have to be honest tho, if you love places with oozing energy Mahoc Beach is not for you, there's nothing except the beach here; there are no bars, no fancy restaurants nearby, no night life here. Some might describe this place as boring. But if you're up for some retreat or self-rediscovery, this could be the place for you.
