Hivers, good day. I'm @rufajane, and this week I'm back with another blog post. How are you today? I hope everything is going well for you and that you're enjoying yourself with your loved ones. Happiness can be hard to find at times, particularly if we feel pressured to be flawless. And occasionally, we could feel overpowered by the difficulties of life, anxious by the never-ending pressure to succeed, and want for a more profound feeling of connection and purpose. But take a look around you. Is there anything that could teach us something? Indeed, practically everything is there. However, I only want to discuss the life of plants with you today.
I grew up in an environment where I was surrounded with plants. Yes, there are lots of them. Because both of my parents adore plants. Growing up, I was captivated to plants after watching my parents cultivate our yard to plant something—ornamental plants, veggies, flowers, and so on. So there's no doubt that I'm having a great time observing the plant's behaviors. And I know that their behaviors can teach us something. And that's what I wanted to tell you in this blog.
Resilience
Plants exhibit resilience by bending to prevent breaking in severe winds. This is resiliency in action! As we all know, plants confront ongoing adversity—drought, burning sun, pests, disease, and competition for resources. However, they thrive by shifting their techniques.
Consider this plant. This plant can withstand high winds. What's the secret? Very simple. This plant does not battle the wind but it adapts. Its short stem helps it to bend easily during storms. No matter how powerful the wind is, it sways with it, demonstrating its unchanging determination. This method is not a weakness but an important survival tool.
Similarly, life is rarely a straight path. It is described as a winding road filled with unforeseen challenges and obstacles. Instead of being knocked down, learn from the plants: change your strategy, find creative solutions, and persevere. No matter how difficult the challenges, remember that only you can save yourself. Challenges rarely disappear overnight. They usually require sustained work and determination.
And remember that we do not always have to overcome the difficult challenges that may arise in our path. Sometimes we have to change our strategy to prevent breaking. Life is harsh. But, with perseverance and resilience, we can overcome any problems that come our way.
Being a winner in life's war does not imply that you have completely avoided life's hardships; rather, you are regarded a winner if you have survived. So, learn to bend, sway, and yield when needed, but never break. This is the essence of resilience—the ability to not just survive but also thrive in the face of life's most unexpected challenges. Be adaptable enough to shifting situations. Embrace the power of flexibility—bend, never break.
Patience
Patience is often overlooked in today's rapidly changing culture, but it is essential for success. And look at how a plant grows—slowly, steadily, and relentlessly. You sow a little seed, and there may be no visible progress for several weeks. However, beneath the surface, an impressive root system emerges, laying a solid basis for future expansion. So, in order for the plants to grow taller and more appealing, patience is required.
Consider this tree. It does not become impressive overnight. It requires years of careful growth, braving storms, and exposure to sunlight. It has faced numerous hardships in life.
Similarly, accomplishing our goals needs persistent effort, endurance, and a desire to embrace the full journey, rather than simply the destination. Learn from the plants: be patient, trust the process, and enjoy your minor triumphs along the way.
There are no short cuts in life. It's tempting to look for the easy way out, a quick fix, a simple solution. However, true strength is not developed for comfort. It is the ability to persevere in the face of adversity. Be patient. Long-term success requires patience, focus, and endurance. Like a roadtrip,we are able to take shortcuts but remember that though taking shortcuts may save you some time, but you'll miss out on the stunning landscape, surprising discoveries, and memorable moments. Life is largely the same.
The tough times, the setbacks, the moments of doubt aren't obstacles to avoid, but opportunities for growth. They build resilience, teach valuable lessons, and shape you into a stronger, wiser person. So, when things get hard, don't give up. Keep moving forward, one step at a time. Embrace the journey, celebrate the small victories, and remember the saying which says “the most rewarding views often come after the toughest climbs”. The path to your dreams may be challenging, but it will be worth it.
Continuous Growth
Perhaps the most profound lesson from plants is their unwavering commitment to growth. They never stop striving, reaching for the sun, expanding their roots, and blooming anew each season.
Similarly, learning is a constant process. We must learn to continue and never stop learning because, no matter what, life is a continuous adventure for us. It never stops learning new things because as our world progresses, the lessons become increasingly difficult.
Back to me
As I have mentioned earlier, I was raised to love and adore plants as part of our daily activities. If you get to know me personally, you really can tell how much I love plants, especially flowers. They give me a sense of comfort and relief.
So, if you gift me with plants, I will accept it (hehe just kidding). But yes, this is very true. Plants have become part of our family. For me (just for me), life can be very boring without them. They provide an elegant appearance to your yard and also beautiful and fresh air to breathe.
So why do I love plants?
Simply because they generously provided me with air and comfort amidst the chaotic world. As a writer, I also wrote moral stories and poems about them. I am also planning to go to Cebu City during vacation with my family to buy some ornamental plants to add to our collections.
So that was it for my blog today. I hope that this finds a way to your heart. Thank you for reading this. I want you to know how much I appreciated your support. And let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Living close to nature is such a joy! Just curious, have you ever had those tiny ornamental plants that come planted in small plastic trash bags? 😃 We had quite a few of them, but unfortunately, they would start dying about a month after we got them. Not sure what we were doing wrong!
I didn't plant it personally, but I believe it depends on the soil. Because some plants are fragile, they must be monitored at all times while they are still little.
Fascinating, based on your blog it seems like you understand several plant physiology, I'm also studying different type of plants and how they adapt to their surroundings. If you're still in high school and interested in plants I suggest you should study biology, anyway, thanks for sharing ❤️ @rufajane have a nice day
Ah, yes. I'm still in senior high, and biology was one of our subjects. However, it only examined the nature of plants as a whole, not their specific properties that might be used in real life. But anyways, thank you for your support @penflecto
It so beautiful.☘️🌼
Yes indeed
This post reminds me of my mom's forgotten hobby. My mom also loves plants ☘️💗
That's too inspiring to hear. Have a nice day.
