Hello, Hive Community!
My name is Sasha, and this is my first time joining this incredible platform. I was introduced to Hive by my dear friend, Trailblissing. I’m from Kowloon, Hong Kong, and I’m thrilled to share my story and experiences with all of you.
I was born and raised in Hong Kong, where I grew up surrounded by a vibrant mix of cultures, thanks to my unique family background. My father, originally from the Philippines, immigrated to Hong Kong, where he met my mother, a local Hong Konger. Their love story began here, and they married soon after meeting. And so, I was born, the product of a beautiful blend of two cultures.
Growing up, my father was a hardworking and diligent man. He would work late into the night every day to provide for our family, a testament to his dedication and commitment. My mother, on the other hand, was a full-time homemaker, creating a loving and supportive environment for me to grow up in. I owe them both everything I am today.
After graduating from university, I spent many years working in the corporate world, like many others. However, despite the steady job and financial security, I soon found myself feeling trapped in a routine that didn’t excite me anymore. It wasn’t the life I had imagined for myself, and that’s when I decided to make a bold change. With the full support of my parents, I took the leap into a life of travel, leaving behind the typical office grind to explore the world.
One of the first milestones in my travel journey was becoming one of the first “trial sleepers” in China. This experience was both exciting and eye-opening, as I was given the opportunity to stay in hotels and other accommodations to test their services, providing valuable feedback for the businesses. It was a unique job, but it allowed me to see the world from a completely different perspective.
As I continued my travels, I found my passion for writing and photography. I started contributing to travel magazines and soon became a dedicated columnist, sharing my adventures and experiences with a broader audience. Through my work as a travel magazine columnist, I’ve been able to sustain my travel lifestyle. It’s been a fulfilling journey, and I feel so grateful to be able to continue exploring the world while doing what I love.
Now, here I am on Hive, looking to connect with fellow travelers, writers, and adventurers. I want to share my best travel experiences with you all—stories from the road, beautiful destinations, and the hidden gems I’ve discovered along the way. Through this community, I also hope to generate a small income that will help fund my travels, so I can keep exploring and sharing more with all of you.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to have traveled to many places and experienced so much of what this world has to offer. From the bustling streets of Bangkok to the tranquil beaches of Bali, from the cultural richness of Europe to the wild beauty of South America, every journey has shaped me and broadened my understanding of the world. But what truly excites me is the endless possibilities ahead. There are still so many places I want to see, cultures I want to experience, and stories I want to tell.
What I hope to bring to Hive is not just travel tips or destination guides, but real, authentic stories of my travels—stories that capture the essence of the places I visit and the people I meet. It’s about more than just the landscapes; it’s about the connections, the emotions, and the growth that travel fosters. I believe every journey teaches us something new, and I want to share those lessons with you.
I’m excited to be here on Hive, and I can’t wait to interact with this vibrant community. Whether you’re a fellow traveler or just someone looking for a fresh perspective, I hope my posts inspire and entertain you. Thank you all for taking the time to read my introduction, and I look forward to sharing more of my adventures with you in the future.
Let’s connect, share, and continue exploring this beautiful world together!
Thank you
