Hello, Hive fam! Sheree here! such a long time has passed since we last updated our blog! Ange and I missed you all, how have you been?😄
Time flies, doesn't it? Is it still ghost month? Just kidding! I haven't shared with you all since our graduation. We've been swamped with work, and Ange has been focused on academics.
So before we entered the PICC (Philippine International Convention Center), starting from the moment we got out of the car, there were some unexpected and memorable moments with Ange. Haha, her black shoes started falling apart, and, of course, her house was far from the venue, with no open stores to buy an alternative pair. As the president of our organization, she went to her friends or orgmates at the technical booth, and guess what? Haha, she borrowed some black tape to patch up her shoes so she could at least make it through the end of the program. It's quite funny, but I appreciate that she went in and finished the program despite what she was wearing at the time!❤️
After the program, since it ended quite late, we had a late lunch at North Park with my family. We were all so hungry, and before we reached the restaurant, we had to walk. Haha, they said it was behind the MOA's eye, and I didn't have much of a choice but to walk even though I was wearing heels. Despite the simple celebration, what mattered most was that my family was complete on my graduation day. ❤️
August 30, 2023 – The D-Day! The day every 4th-year student eagerly awaits, the day we finally complete our education. It was worth all the hard work we put into our thesis, presentations, and everything else. What a roller coaster my fourth year has been for me add to that the extracurricular activities on campus. It's nothing like the previous year; even with a full schedule, it was manageable. However, I came to a phase in my fourth year where I needed to be more firm when choosing my priorities and making decisions.
You need to submit activities and reports on time, be present in class, and balance your extracurricular activities. Yes, I've been part of student organization on our campus since my 2nd year college. I started as a publicity committee member, then was appointed as secretary in January 2021, and ta-da! I ran for chairperson for two consecutive years.
Juggling responsibilities is tough, especially in the 4th year when you have to choose between academics and organizations. Since I didn't want to fail or not march during graduation, I focused more on academics. I used to think IT was easy, haha, just a 4th-year moment when you start questioning your choice of course.
While we were working on our thesis/capstone project, disagreements with groupmates were inevitable, especially when there were slackers. Friendships can be tested after graduation. Some people manage to work well with their friends in the group, but not me. I had to bear the resentment because I wanted all of us to graduate together. So, I focused on our priorities.
Long story short, we've already defended our thesis, scheduled our graduation pictorial, and chosen our graduation song. Of course, we couldn't pass up on using Taylor Swift's "Long Live" for our batch. It's been our anthem throughout, so it's only fitting that it becomes our graduation song too. 😉
Being on the verge of graduating and having successfully defended our thesis is an experience that cannot be explained. It is a mix of fulfillment, and memories for the journey we have taken over the past four years. I've realized that college life involves more than simply studying; it also entails making lifelong friends, embracing leadership opportunities, and overcoming the difficulties of collaborative tasks.
To all students out there, whether you are just beginning your academic journey or are ready to set out on your own 4th-year journey, keep in mind that it isn't just about reaching your goal but also the incredible journey that you will take along the way ;) Cherish every moment, and, like our batch, let Taylor Swift's "Long Live" be the soundtrack of your unforgettable moments. 🎓✨💕

Congratulations to you and all of your batch. Education is indeed more than justs
Studying. Too sad I was not able to finish mine as there were unprecedented issues that arrived. I had fun in it though and I had good times, great times to be exact and fun memories.
Aww, sorry to hear that. Maybe the Lord has better plans for you in the future. Anyways, thank you so much! I appreciate you sharing as well. Hehe. @tonton23
Indeed! I am. Living the best of my life because of his Grace.
