Hello guys it's me again @solinek a nature lover, food lover, a traveler and love taking photos of what I went to. Today's blog is a simple introduction of life here at the mountainous area of the Cordillera. In this Blog I will give a short glimpse of life here in Cordillera.
In this picture we are having a walk with my niece going to the house of our cousin at Sitio Magadang. It is one of the sitio of our barangay and we are living in Sitio Parasipis. From Sitio Parasipis to Sitio Magadang is approximately 2.5km in distance. Mostly if we are traveling, we took about 25 minutes' walk and by riding a vehicle we took about 5 minutes. Our location is within mountainous area of Cordillera Province. Cordillera Province is known for its mountainous area and trail sites. One of the prides of Cordillera is the Mt. Pulag for its Beautiful view of clouds and because of that it is called the Sea of Clouds of the North.
Here is the picture of the sight at the summit of Mt Pulag. They say that when you reach the top you will feel like in heaven because you are higher with the clouds
Note: This picture was downloaded from google (MT. PULAG SUMMIT)
I never been to the Mt. Pulag but we are planning with my friends and family to go at Mt Pulag to experience and take a hiking to its mossy trail and also to view the beautiful scenery of the said mountain. But before you can hike the said mountain trail you need to show a medical certificate to show that you are fit to hike.
Welcome to Nabjeng river. In our Barangay this is one of our precious treasure picnic area because it is one of the well-know to our barangay and because of that, this was been visited by nearby Barangay because it is free and also for its good ambiance and refreshing water. Here you there are caves and falls.
My I introduce you to my cousins Jake, Lyn, Vhon, Jin, Chariz and Lodlod. In this picture we are having our break from hiking and having a snack before we start in helping in the preparation of foods later.
Today our Toka or what we are assigned to prepare is the cheese dynamite. Cheese dynamite roll is also one of the favorite snack and street foods in the Philippines. It is well-known for its spicy favor. dynamite roll has 2 variants: Cheese Dynamite Roll and Pork Dynamite Roll. in these two variants what I like the most is the Pork Dynamite Roll because its feelings are not just meat but have Carrots, Onion, and jicama.
In Filipino traditions we prepare all our foods because we value what we called "BAYANIHAN". Bayanihan is the unity of the people in helping each other in a group. We do Bayanihan also in weddings, clean-up drive of our roads, making a house and mostly fund-raising activity for people who need financial assistance.
Ive missed doing those hikes. Mt Pulag was one of my favourites.
