It's been a long weekend this march 2024 because of the celebration of SEMANA SANTA, a 4 day work and school break. And today Friday, we decided to go to the river to swim with my niece, nephew and cousins because the weather is to hot and we want to refresh our body and it's not quite we have a time together. We just have our bonding time or be together when there are vacation days or summer breaks because that is the time they went home from work or school.
Today we went to enabjeng river to swim and refresh our body from the sunny heat. I also wrote a reminder to others who will visit the river to keep their trashes to the designated bins and disposal area to make the river clean. By doing this we can make the river presentable to all the visitors. There are also time that other visitors scattered their garbage and do not mind cleaning the area where they put their tents on. There are also incidence that many students scape their classes and went here to have picnic and drunk liquor.
We also put a pile of stones that it a sign that it's dangerous in that area because of the mossy rocks that will cause you to slip if you don't be careful in walking in this area. But others destroy it without knowing the meaning of it.
We choice this area to put our things because it has a shade of shrubs that protect us from the sun and has a wide area and also near the river. Even you go here without a tent their are small trees that can cover you from the sun.
Do you know that now a days that other river are polluted because of increasing of population and all their waste is directed to the river. But luckyly, our river is still clean and because of the project of the barangay like clean up drive that help in maintaining the cleanliness of the river, as you can see from the picture that I've taken.
Having a picnic at the river is not complete without foods to eat because it is tiring to swim and play at the water that make you feel hungry. So we bring some soft drinks and bread to fill our stomach while having our picnic.
The enabjeng river is a 10 minutes walk from our house and about 1.2 km in distance. From the highway it's about 2.5km in distance. This river is mostly visited by near barangays to have picnic or celebrate birthdays because of its beautiful scenery. It is also feature as a eco tourism site because down the river ther are a falls and a wide and deep lake best for divers. It has a deep of 4-5 meters height. And at the top of the river there are a half cave good for taken pictures and also a underground cave.
Before we go home we make sure that we clean the area and carry our trashes and put it to the near provided bins by the barangay. It's one of the barangay policy that is no littering at the river. We go home before 12pm because we don't bring lunch and we don't plan to stay here until afternoon.
