We all have our escapes in life whenever we feel like things seem to be falling apart. Others may go to places where they feel free and alive, while some might do the things that they love. Escaping does not mean you are shutting the world and reality that you lived in; instead, escaping means you are just allowing yourself to breathe and have the rest that you perfectly deserve.
Today, I will be sharing with you my go-to relaxation activities and escapes after hustling and surviving for a week. I hope that this blog will inspire you to explore more about yourself and the world where you exist.
Whenever I feel the need to detach myself from the endless drawbacks I have in life, my first go-to relaxation activity is to write a poem. This activity has been my way of comforting myself for several years in this cruel reality that we have. By pouring the hidden emotions I have within, transforming them into words of storytelling, and just genuinely expressing myself with no boundaries. I feel like this kind of escape is one of the reasons why I can still find beauty amidst every chaos that I have encountered. It does not just allow me to express my vulnerability, but also it allows me to be seen, heard, and found.
The next one is reading. I really love reading books as a way of escaping, even if others will think how ordinary it is. There is just something in books that constantly makes me feel that I am traveling or going to places while just sitting in a corner of my four-walled room. It also has this enchanting way of knowing different people and being mindful enough that they are not real. Reading books is not just as simple as others tend to perceive; it is something more. It makes me fall in love, heartbroken, terrified, happy, and all other emotions a human being can feel. Sometimes, in just one day of reading, I feel like my life has gone an extra mile, and I think that is the power of stories and the human mind.
My other way of escaping is through nature strolling. In my previous blogs, I have mentioned that I love climbing trees. Aside from that, I also love riding a bike every late in the afternoon to stroll near the beach and chase those utterly beautiful sunsets. This kind of escape always brings me back to the old times. When life was not too complicated, laughter was too pure and genuine, and smiles were so sweet and precious. Times when everything screams an innocence of a childhood. Other than that, riding a bike for me is a great exercise and a way of self-reflection that there are never-ending changes in life.
Furthermore, I have this certain spot in our backyard where I loved to put a hammock and sleep. It is a spot with a lot of green trees, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere. It is my go-to escape when I think a lot because it helps me to assess my decisions and steps to make. It is a solitude that I need once in a while for me to reflect on the things that I have done. It is my way of tracking if I am still on the right path in life.
With all of these go-to activities and escapes I have mentioned, one thing that I have learned is that being alone is not lonely at all. There are times that we need to be alone for us to check on ourselves and track the things that allowed us to grow as individuals. Yes, we need a companion in order to survive in life, but there are paths as well that you need to survive on your own. That is why your alone time will always matter for your growth and well-being. As you read this blog, I hope that you will find or continue to have the courage to discover other life's surprises that have been set for you, even when you are alone or with the people you loved and cherished the most.
Hurrayyyyy! You are now at the end of this blog, and I hope that you have learned something from me. Know that you are limitless and brave enough to keep your life going. I wish you all the best, and always keep your smile. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Truly, you are a beautiful soul that existed in this world. See you on my next blog! 🍓

Writing, reading, and nature strolling are such great ways to recharge. Love how you find beauty in solitude! 🌿📖✨
That's indeed a nice escape from all the stress and workloads.
We all need something to escape from our reality even for a short while. To enjoy the life despites the roughness of it. As for me i read manhwa, watch kdrama and anime and enjoy having a walk too in our backyard. Being with nature really helps a lot.
You really have interesting hobbies. Keep going.
Such a dreamy place and also love solitude here! 🤍🫶🏻
This is such a beautiful and insightful post!I love how you've described your relaxation escapes they all sound so peaceful and restorative.Your reflections on solitude and self-reflection are especially powerful. Thanks for sharing your personal ways of finding peace and balance.
I love those and if you ever need a community to pour out your book reviews, have you subscribed to Hive Book Club? We're definitely excited to see reviews from the book that you've read. But you're right, being alone doesn't mean we're lonely and surrounded by people doesn't we're not alone. Sometimes being in the wrong crowd can feel so isolating as well.
Thanks for sharing your ways to relax! Some of those are my way to escape too :)
