February was hectic for me and my cousins. There were nights with no rest and sleep. We would go to school with eye bags and already exhausted from the moment we got inside. My eyes felt so heavy, and I can't help but close them even when my teacher is in front for her lecture.
My and my cousin's hands went from soft to calloused overnight since we were so busy creating our items to meet the quantity of customers and orders we needed while also fulfilling all of the orders from our regular customers.
Though we were having a rough time, sometimes our mood turned sour because of stress; we would still find ourselves laughing together. And guess what makes us laugh and happy? It's food! Food was really important for us as it helps lighten the mood. With that, we avoided shouting at each other in a time of crisis. We were able to compose ourselves and continue making our products without delay.
Here are the orders we created throughout the month. We only used few things for the orders, like fuzzy wire, make up palette and make up brushes, glue gun, foam, bouquet wrapper, fairy lights and ribbons. 🌸✨
We used different kinds of flowers in every bouquet to make it unique and pleasing to the eye. At first we were skeptical about it because it might turn bad, but to resolve that we tried to arrange the flowers first to see if they were fit to be combined in a single bouquet before inserting them in the foam and wrapping them with pretty bouquet wrappers.
We loved these ideas because they make us unique from our competitors. We are also using fuzzy wire because some of the businesses that are selling bouquets and flowers are either crochet or satin ribbon.
We also achieved something important this time: a school was partnering with our business, which we provided bouquet flowers for their Valentine's Day event. We were so happy when the school reached out to us because we gained this opportunity through our nights of no sleep and stress.
Some issues and problems that we experienced throughout the month are that there are customers who expected that if they comment on their orders under our post on our page, it means that the order has been placed, which is wrong because we need to confirm it before they can finally place their order. And another problem that we experienced is that there are customers who would change their order, and it happened that we already made their first order.
To resolve these issues, we told them respectfully that in order to confirm their order, they need to wait for us to confirm their order, and for the other one, we told them that they need to pay half of the price of their order if they will change their order.
Some reviews we received from our customers are almost positive, saying how beautiful the flowers are and how affordable they are.
Either the reviews are positive or negative it was still so important to us, because through negative reviews we were able to learn what we lack and what we needed to improve and thanks to the positive reviews it gives us the courage to continue working on our progress and helped us to love what we are doing.
This month of February I learned how to continue even if life is hard for me because why would I stop where my life is hard? I should keep going until everything is okay, and I and my family will live in comfort for the rest of our lives. 🌸✨
