Hi everyone! It's me, Cian and I'm going to bring you to a recent exam that I took somewhere from from my current address. An exam that was delayed for years.
It all started way back 2019 when me and my friends decided to take the civil service exam by first quarter next year. The registration / reserving a slot happened December 2019, same month as my graduation. We're supposed to take it at around March 2020 but covid happened and lockdown was placed a week before our exam date. It was so frustrating on outr part, but what can we do, it's pandemic.
A year passed but still we haven't had our exam. They said that they'll refund our money paid because we need to register again and basically, repeat the process again from preparation to registration, etc. I find that unmotivating and hassle that is why I stopped giving care about it. But alas, suddenly around June this year, I was told that I can take the exam, but in the province of Leyte. I'm no stranger to the place but still, it's far away from my current address and not to mention that I still have work.
Anyway, I still pushed through, trying my luck. I trust my stock knowledge and haven't studied that much. I fear of spending a lot but yet failing the exam.
From cebu, one can book a flight going to tacloban but it's quite expensive. So I booked a fastcraft going to Ormoc, then Ormoc to Tacloban via land trip van. This way I can save some money.
Arrived at Tacloban, asked my older cousin living there if I can sleep one night at their house and he gladly said yes. Was able to save money again.
I had the van dropped me off at Robinsons Marasbaras - Tacloban. Now at the mall, I felt so hungry coz it's time for Lunch. I roam around the mall and kind of reminisced a lot of moments I had there. Wow? hahaha. For everyone's information, I studied at Tacloban for more than a year, so yeah haha. After eating, my cousin picked me up at the mall going to his house, the place I'm going to stay at. Had some catching up whole afternoon and had dinner, then went to sleep early for tomorrow's exam.
I woke up hoping for the best, even though I haven't studied at all hahaha. I'm too lazy to study and too tired to do anything. Everything's happening so fast, and my mind's still not okay from travelling far just to take an exam. I went to the venue early and said to myself that no matter what will happen, at least I tried. But i didn't study, so I deserve it if ever I'll fail hahaha.
The exam was 3-hour long and so nerve-racking. You need to be conscious of time if you want to answer everything. The time is up but I made sure to not leave any question unanswered. After the exam, I left the venue and hurriedly went to the highway to wait for a passing van going to Ormoc. I need to ride one immediately so that I can take the fastcraft going back to Cebu.
Sadly, I didn't make it.
Stay tuned for the 2nd part of this story. Also, I’m going to bring you to Ormoc.
