Last Saturday, we had our first onboarding seminar on Hive. To be honest our group @hiveph is not anticipating that much participants as we don't have that much reactions from the people that we are inviting.

It turned out that we have more participants who joined the event and we are thrilled that it happened! We got 21 participants in total which includes the people who were in Steemit and planning to go back to Hive blogging again.
How Did we prepare for the event?
A week before our onboarding seminar we had multiple meetings to discuss what will be our agenda and how we are going to attract more folks to be interested in blogging through Hive.
We made Facebook Post in our personal facebook accounts and the Hive PH accounts as well.
Aside from that we also sent personal messages to our friends and invited people from the other communities that are into Hive. Since I am a moderator of Dcrops PH Facebook Group I did make sure to invite the folks out there because they already have an account with us and why not maximize the potential of Hive.
The Flow of the Program
We first introduced ourselves, what we are into and the years that we had been doing this stuff on the platform ( Steemit included).
After the short intro from us we started on explaining Hive in a gist, the wallet, how to create their post using Peakd.com , the Do's and Don't in the community, question and answer and lastly the raffle.
As we are anticipating only 2 participants we expected that we will be done within an hour. However, we exceeded the time and we had 2 hours in total for the webinar.
The Participants
The presentors from the event were : @romeskie, @juanvegetarian, and @adamada
Our friends from Cebu also joined @indayclara and @ybanezkim26 where they share their inspiring experience with Hive and the OCD onboarding details for newbies that will be joining Hive.
We also appreciate these folks from joining @mrnightmare89, , @olivia08 , @godlovermel25, @beyonddisability, @atongis as it served as a mini meetup for us too! We haven't had the chance to meet with them personally and even via webinar.
The new folks that we met are @bisayakalog18, @marcusen, @aura89, @doctorfate, @mami.sheh7, @pinkhub
The rest of the participants doesn't have an account yet with Hive as they are preparing for their intro post but once they had completed everything as they promised they will sign-up and drop those awesome introductory post to the community.
What will be our next plan?
We are planning to have this activity on a regular basis, as we promote Hive in our community. Our next webinar, would be relating to staking and powering up. Plus stuff that you can do with Hive aside from content creation like games and trading.
We are hopeful that we can encourage more people to explore Hive as a whole and attract more guys in the next series. (We promised that @indayclara will be the next prize for the raffle so we need to work hard on promoting our next event so that she may find "the one" for her on the next webinar. )
Overall the event was a success, it was quite a challenge at first as we had some issues with the recording. Both Rome and I are not familiar on how googlemeets work as we always have our meetings via discord only. But we all have room to grow and learn, I was able to overcome my issues on sharing Hive to others which I am beyond grateful.

That was the first time I ever facilitated and hosted a webinar and I am very thankful for the teamwork that we all showed. It was tiring and energy draining (I had to down two helpings of pancit after the webinar) but it was all worth it! I'm so happy with how it turned out!
I am looking forward to more webinars like this to help more newbies. Once again, thanks to all that participated and contributed to the success of our first ever webinar!
Same ate Rome, after the webinar we slept. Around 12 AM we woke up famished.

Haha yes Jue they are quite excited to be onboard. Hopefully they will begin their blogging journey real soon. We are doing some follow-up on the attendees to make sure that they will be staying here for long.
