Hello hivers specially to my country men it's been a long time since I posted here. But even though I always used our tag @hiveph. Because Im always a proud chinita Filipina. 😅💖 Nine days left and it's Christmas time really is fast. We know Filipinos have different kind of celebrating Christmas. Namamasko, nangangarolling at exchange gifts, monita monito those are few and there so much more.
And this month we already celebrated our feast day of Saint Lucy and I'm going to show what kind of fiesta we had.
My sons slippers was already wrecked out and I have no plans in buying because I have no money. But my husband's vow (panata) yearly was to light a candles from the vendors outside the church. Then I asked if I can have money to buy for my son then he gave me, I grab the chance to buy slippers and learning toys. They are many stuffs that you can choose from all we need is money.
The first photo look at the vendor his so game in taking pictures he smiled even I didn't told him. The shops outside the church last for only for one day. While the others for two our barrio looks like a tiyaggi
This is how we celebrate our fiesta before the pandemic we have an a amateur singing contest with live band but I think the samahan ng katandaan at kabataan has no funds. We also missed the fireworks looks like nobody sponsored it for this year. And it only proves that money is hard to find. But what important is the vows (panata) the prayer, some people came from different places just to see our patron saint. Saint Lucy
*Mom told me that Saint Lucy's eyes was took off to her so if you look closely she's holding something
in her palm. And that's her eyes so many believe that she cured all the pains in everybody's eyes. They are lot of people came from far away places just to hold Saint Lucy's dress and they will it in their eyes. I'm more than a decade here 17 years to be exact and yearly we celebrated our fiesta as a vow to our patton saint. A little offer and hope she is all proud to us. I want to invite soon please be my visitor it's my pleasure to have you here
Thank you so much for dropping by,
Love lots, @usagigallardo015 🌙

Happy fiesta sis. That's the true essence of being a Filipino. My grandmother is like that also, having her panata. Stay safe and God bless.
