Glad to hear you, your family and friends are all in good health. You start you story with the volcano. I remember it. That was the day I was flying back to my home country. After a lot of canceled flights, I could finally go back to my husband. One month later, I returned to the Philippines. the original plan was for 3 months. But after more than 9 months I'm still here. I saw how life changed for everyone. As most expats have some kind of buffer, they can survive. But it's a complete different story for the local people. People are losing their income, trying to find ways to survive. I had so many plans for a local school that we were going to do this year. But we have to postpone it. I cannot do much, but helping a few people is so rewarding. Everyone is in this together, and the only way out is to support and help each other. Stay safe and take care of your beloved ones!
