Recently I went to my fiancée's city and had the opportunity to spend time with her cat for the first time. My girlfriend told me that it was very shy and wouldn't approach people it saw for the first time. Let's see how it reacts to me.
This is a photo from the first day. At first I was a bit nervous too because it would come and sniff me and run away. In general, it stayed away from me but it was observing. An hour passed and this time it came and lay on my lap after sniffing me. I look very funny in this photo because I didn't expect her to just come and lie on my lap. It looks like it has known me for a very long time.
Her name is Pamuk, by the way. Like all cats, Pamuk loves to sleep. She sleeps at least 17-18 hours a day. Of course, this is valid for normal conditions, sometimes guests coming to the house disturb her and wake her up. Of course they wake her up just to pet her but I am sure she doesn't like it. I try not to disturb her while she sleeps, but I slowly stroke her feathers, which are really like cotton. She must like it too because she purrs.
After two days she got used to me completely and her favorite place is next to me. She likes to sit next to me, probably because I don't disturb her while she sleeps. This way she can fall asleep easily.
She is so used to me that I can take a picture of her sleeping next to me with my phone. You can see her whiskers up close, right? She also has very long hair above her eyes. I don't know what they are, I asked my girlfriend and she said she didn't know either. She looks very peaceful especially when she is sleeping and it makes me happy to watch her. I never had a pet before so I didn't know this feeling.
Have you ever seen a cat's ears up close before? I have good news for those who answered no, you can see it here. She is so used to me that she can't sleep without contact with me.
It's very nice to take pictures of Pamuk when she's sleeping, but when she wakes up suddenly and looks at you with her big eyes, you might get a little nervous. As if to say “what are you doing”.
Of course, it is not so easy to take photos when she is awake. She turns left and right a lot, and just like a human, she doesn't like it when the frame is turned to her. I hope one day she won't attack the phone 😂.
Pamuk will live with us for the next few years after we get married. So I'm very happy that we are getting along so well. Pamuk will be my first pet, so I'm very excited. Cats don't really qualify as pets, though. They act more like our owners, don't they?

Geçtiğimiz günlerde nişanlımın yanına gittim ve ilk defa onun kedisiyle zaman geçirme fırsatı buldum. Kız arkadaşım onun ilk defa gördüğü insanlara karşı çok çekingen olduğunu ve yaklaşmadığını söylemişti. Gelin bakalım bana nasıl davranıyor.
Bu ilk günden bir fotoğraf. Başlarda ben de biraz gergindim çünkü geliyor beni kokluyor ve kaçıyordu. Genel olarak benden uzak duruyordu ama gözlemliyordu. Aradan bir saat geçti ve bu sefer beni kokladıktan sonra gelip kucağıma yattı. Bu fotoğrafta çok komik görünüyorum çünkü birden gelip kucağıma yatmasını beklemiyordum. Sanki beni çok uzun süredir tanıyor gibi duruyor.
Bu arada adı Pamuk. Bütün kediler gibi pamuk da uyumayı çok seviyor. Günde en az 17-18 saat uyuyor. Tabi bu normal şartlar için geçerli, bazen eve gelen misafirler onu rahatsız edip uyandırıyor. Tabi ki sadece sevmek için uyandırıyorlar ama eminim bundan hoşlanmıyordur. Ben uyurken onu rahatsız etmemeye çalışıyorum ama gerçekten pamuk gibi olan tüylerini yavaş yavaş okşuyorum. Onun da hoşuna gidiyor olmalı ki mırlıyor.
İki gün geçtikten sonra bana tam anlamıyla alıştı ve en sevdiği yer benim yanım oldu. Muhtemelen uyurken rahatsız etmediğim için benim yanıma oturmayı seviyor. Bu sayede rahatlıkla uykuya dalabiliyor.
Bana o kadar çok alıştı ki yanımda uyurken telefonumu yaklaştırıp fotoğrafını çekebiliyorum. Yakından bıyıklarını görebiliyorsunuz değil mi? Bir de gözlerinin üstünde çok uzun tüyleri var. Onların ne olduğunu bilmiyorum, kız arkadaşıma sordum ve o da bilmediğini söyledi. Özellikle uyurken çok huzurlu görünüyor ve onu izlemek beni de mutlu ediyor. Daha önce hiç evcil hayvanım olmadığı için bu hissiyatı bilmiyordum.
Peki daha önce hiç bir kedinin kulağını yakından görmüş müydünüz? Cevabı hayır olanlara güzel bir haberim var burada görebilirsiniz. Bana o kadar alıştı ki benimle temas etmeden uyuyamamaya başladı.
Pamuk Uyurken fotoğraf çekmek çok güzel ama birden uyanınca ve kocaman gözleriyle size bakınca biraz tedirgin olabilirsiniz. Sanki "ne yapıyorsun" der gibi bakıyor.
Tabi uyanıkken fotoğraf çekmek o kadar kolay değil. Sağa sola çok fazla dönüyor ve tıpkı bir insan gibi kadrajın kendisine döndürülmesinden hoşlanmıyor. Umarım bir gün telefona saldırmaz 😂.
Evlendikten sonra önümüzdeki birkaç yıl Pamuk bizimle yaşayacak. Bu yüzden iyi anlaşmamıza çok sevindim. Pamuk benim ilk evcil hayvanım olacak bu yüzden çok heyecanlıyım. Gerçi kediler için evcil hayvanlık pek geçerli değil. Daha çok onlar bizim sahibimiz gibi davranıyorlar değil mi?

Ah that’s awesome. I had cats as family pets as a kid but discovered I was allergic to them. Lucky for me now as it is my only defence against my girls filling this house with cats! I do like them but happy I can breathe better now.
Funny thing is I have a recurring dream where a cat is trying to bite me. I try to stop it without hurting it but it always ends up in me having to throw it or snap its neck or something. So weird!

The cat is beautiful, you know that I love felines, what I like most is when they give them those violent energy attacks, those who are called "zooming" are super fun and adorable, I hope you live many years because they are very entertaining companions. Nankör olduklarını düşünüyorsanız bu konuda her kedi aynı değil. Örneğin nişanlım bu kediye yaklaşık 1 yıldır bakıyor ve nişanlımın kardeşini hiç görmedi. Ama onu ne zaman görse koşa koşa onun yanına gidiyor 😂
