My next card team to get were Dragons, and then when I had them assembled I engaged in battles.
So, I did not only bought cards, I already played with them and used combinations I described in a text below.
And, I ranged Bronze III in one day.
Based on the market, here is my idea about Dragon summoners for beginners, that are available on market and their key characteristics:
- Quix the Devious (Cost: $2.00, Level: 1)
- Reduces enemy ranged attack (-1) and reduces their speed (-1).
- Helios Matriarch (Cost: $0.32, Level: 1)
- Provides +1 to team speed and +1 to team health.
- Lily Shieldpaw (Cost: $2.90, Level: 1)
- Grants +2 armor, Camouflage to all friendly monsters, and Tank Heal.
My choice:
I was looking for the best overall summoner with powerful utility and that would be Lily Shieldpaw:
- Camouflage makes my monsters harder to target directly.
- +2 Armor provides defensive support.
- Tank Heal extends the survivability of a frontline.
Quix the Devious is also a great option.
Dragon Monsters - main team
Monsters I choose to pair with Lily Shieldpaw and to construct a good strategy:
- Carnage Titan ($2.11)
- Double strike and reach (can attack from the second position).
- High melee attack, good health, and armor complement Lily's defensive boosts.
- Chaos Dragon ($2.21)
- Magic attacker with Scattershot.
- Random target attacks can disrupt enemy strategies, especially with Lily's Camouflage protection.
- Void Dragon ($0.67)
- Magic attacker with Flying and Void (magic defense).
- Great for evading physical attacks while resisting magic.
- Desert Dragon ($0.56)
- High melee damage with Trample.
- A strong offensive option, boosted further by Lily’s armor and healing.
- Runic Skyclaw ($0.15)
- Flying and Reach.
- Can attack from the second position with melee (Reach).
- Flying makes it harder to hit, adding survivability.
- Affordable and fits well in Lily Shieldpaw's Camouflage-based team.
Strategy:
- Positioning:
- Tank (Position 1): Carnage Titan
- Durable melee attacker with Double Strike.
- Second Position: Desert Dragon
- Trample deals damage to multiple enemies.
- Third Position: Runic Skyclaw
- Provides extra melee damage and supports Carnage Titan and Desert Dragon.
- Fourth Position: Void Dragon
- Magic damage and Flying for evasion.
- Fifth Position: Chaos Dragon
- Scattershot disrupts backline enemies.
- Sixth Position (Last): Zyvax Vuul ( bought for $0.51)
- Ranged attacker with Opportunity (targets the weakest enemy).
- Tank (Position 1): Carnage Titan
Low-Mana Battle team
List above is good for higher mana battles but when I need to put together mana up to 20 or 12...
- Tank (Position 1): Djinn Chwala ($0.10, Mana Cost: 8)
- Abilities: Thorns (damages melee attackers) and high health/armor.
- Why: A strong, low-mana tank that punishes melee attackers while benefiting from Lily’s armor boost and healing.
- Midline Support (Position 2): Void Dragon ($0.67, Mana Cost: 5)
- Abilities: Flying (evasion) and Void (resistance to magic attacks).
- Why: Great midline defense that avoids physical attacks and resists magic, while dealing consistent magic damage.
- Backline Damage Dealer (Position 3): Zyvax Vuul ($0.51, Mana Cost: 2)
- Abilities: Opportunity (targets the weakest enemy).
- Why: Effective at sniping low-health enemies, perfect for disrupting backline threats in low-mana battles.
Strategy:
- Defense:
- Djinn Chwala serves as a strong frontline tank with high survivability due to Thorns, armor, and healing from Lily.
- Damage Output:
- Void Dragon deals consistent magic damage while avoiding most melee/ranged attacks thanks to Flying.
- Zyvax Vuul picks off weakened enemies with Opportunity, ensuring you can remove threats quickly.
- Camouflage Protection:
- All backline monsters (Void Dragon and Zyvax Vuul) benefit from Camouflage, making them untargetable until Djinn Chwala is defeated.
12-Mana Battle Team
This is a very low mana, so I needed to add more monsters.
For a 12-mana cap battle with Dragons, I will need to focus on efficiency and balance between survivability and offense. This is kind of problematic because attack is weak and armour/life not very good.
- Tank (Position 1): Djinn Chwala ($0.10, Mana Cost: 8)
- Abilities:
- Thorns: Damages melee attackers.
- High health and armor to withstand attacks.
- Why: One of the most efficient low-mana tanks, especially against melee-heavy lineups.
- Abilities:
- Backline Damage Dealer (Position 2): Vruz ($0.15, Mana Cost: 2)
- Abilities:
- Opportunity: Targets the weakest enemy.
- Low mana cost with solid speed and attack.
- Why: Can snipe low-health enemies effectively while benefiting from Lily’s Camouflage.
- Abilities:
- Utility/Support (Position 3): Twilight Basilisk ($0.03, Mana Cost: 4)
- Abilities:
- Reach: Can attack from the second position.
- Stun: Has a chance to disable the enemy for a turn.
- Why: A versatile attacker that adds utility (Stun) and melee support.
- Abilities:
Strategy:
- Tank and Sustain:
- Djinn Chwala is your frontline wall, benefiting from Lily’s armor buff and healing. Thorns punishes melee attackers, which are common in low-mana battles.
- Damage Output:
- Vruz’s Opportunity ability targets weak backline monsters, disrupting enemy strategies.
- Twilight Basilisk provides solid melee damage and a chance to Stun an enemy, which can swing the battle in your favor.
- Camouflage Advantage:
- Lily’s Camouflage ensures Vruz and Twilight Basilisk are untargetable until Djinn Chwala is defeated, keeping your damage dealers safe.
I saved links to my successful battles with these combos and I will publish them probably in few days when I record or combine them into a video.
