Turquia vs Italia (0-3) 53´ Merih Demiral (AG) 66´Ciro Immobile 79´Lorenzo insigne. En el segundo se enfrentaron a Suiza. Italia vs Suiza (3-0) 26´ 52´Manuel Locatelli 89´Ciro Immobile. Y cerraron venciendo a Gales. talia vs Galés (1-0) 39´ Matteo Pessina.

Hoy el conjunto de Austria le plantó cara al seleccionado italiano. Un partido que desde inicio veíamos una Italia que se sentía incomoda, no lograba tener el control, ni el dominio del balón, como en los primeros partidos. Ambos equipos intentaron en todo el partido, la “azzurri” buscó mucho por el carril izquierdo, con Spinazzola que tuvo varias llegadas, pero sin situaciones de peligro. El equipo austriaco cerraba muy bien, y su línea defensiva estuvo impenetrable. Vimos en varias ocasiones, como desde abajo lograban salir, y abrir juego para Alaba que hacía sus despliegues característicos, pero ninguno se hacía daño. La más clara para los de Mancini sería al minuto 32´ tras un zapatazo de media distancia que terminó estrellándose en el arco resguardado por el arquero Bachmann. En el segundo tiempo vimos una Austria más rebelde, y más determinada, en varios tramos del partido lograron hacerse del esférico. Al minuto 64´ vendría un Gol de Austria, Arnautovic anotaba de cabeza tras un centro, pero tras revisar el “Var” se determinó que esté estaba en posición adelantada. De resto Italia siguió intentando, pero no conseguía una jugada clara. Y así se irían al tiempo extra. Al minuto 95´vendría el tanto del partido en los pies del jugador de la juventus Chiesa, Golazo de Italia. Belotti le pone un pase como con la mano a Chiesa, que controla de cabeza, recorta y le pega. El segundo de la “azzurri” vendría al minuto 105´. Insigne recibe un cambio de frente, la manda al área y luego de un enredo Pessina toma el rebote y define muy bien. El partido se le tornaba ya cuesta arriba a los austriacos, pero no dejaron de luchar. Al minuto 105´ Donnarumma salva el descuento. Bombazo de Schop y el arquero italiano se exige para evitar la caída del invito de su arco. Al minuto 114´ vendría el descuento de Austria. Tiro de esquina al primer palo y Kalajdcil se lanza para ponerle la cabeza y meterla en el único espacio que le concedió Italia. El partido tendría unos últimos minutos muy intensos, pero no le alcanzaría para forzar los penales, y así se pitaría el final de compromiso y así Italia celebraba su pase a los cuartos de final de esta Eurocopa 2020.
