On June 11 of this year, Euro 2020 kicked off (it is still called this way, it started a year later due to the pandemic). Based in Italy, its capital Rome would dress up specifically the Olympic stadium of that city for what would be the opening ceremony of the event. An incredible opening, as expected, and with the tenor Andrea Bocelli performing the song "nessun dorma" in a sublime way. Approximately 16,000 people attended the match, and the spectators were seated in small groups and kept their distance from each other. This was the largest crowd ever recorded at an event in this country since the covid 19 virus struck.

The Italian national team will face the Turkish team in the first match corresponding to group "A" of this important tournament. Al comenzar la segunda parte los azzurri buscaban el gol, y fue al minuto 53´ cuando Berardi desbortaba y lanzaba un centro que estrello en el zaguero turco Merih Demiral anotó en su propia puerta para dar la ventaja a los dirigidos por Roberto Mancini. El otro tanto vendría al minuto 66´ en las piernas del delantero balón de oro, jugador de la Lazio Ciro Immobile. Immobile empujo un balón hacia el arco, tras un rebote que se efectuó tras un tiro de Leonardo Spinazolla, con una jugada que nació de Berardi. Al minuto 79´ vendría el tanto del jugador del Nápoles tras un rechazo fallido del arquero del arquero Cakir Insigne definió como los grandes y así le daría el tercer y ultimo gol para la victoria de la selección italiana.

Análisis: Buen comienzo para la selección italiana, un futbol muy colectivo y sobretodo mucha solvencia en todas las líneas. Desde siempre veíamos a la azzurra con un juego muy compacto y defensivo, pero la pasar los años el esquema de juego a cambiado. Los de Mancini juegan bien, y sobretodo con un gran poderío ofensivo, jugadores como Insigne y Belardi le otorgan mucho desequilibrio a esta selección, ya que son jugadores con grandes cualidades con el balón. En el primer partido si bien es cierto que el marcador fue amplio, hay que destacar la excelente labor de los zagueros defensivos. Estuvieron impecables, de hecho, un jugador que me gustó mucho fue Giorgio Chiellini que en partido lo llegamos a ver en zona contrario aportando en labores defensivas, de hecho, tuvo una jugada muy clara de gol. Las llegadas de Florenzi y Spinazolla por las bandas. Realmente es plausible lo que se vio y demostró esta selección italiana. Cabe destacar que la azzurri esperaba con ansias esta competición y con la victoria conseguida el día de ayer estiraron a 28 su racha invicta y se muestra como uno de los grandes favoritos para ganar dicho torneo.
