¡Que bien nos hace la vuelta del buen fútbol! Ya se hacía esperar un buen partido de Premier League por estas fechas festivas del año, y por supuesto si hablamos de un clásico de esta maravillosa liga de fútbol, eso es también, involucrar el Teatro de los sueños de la ciudad de Manchester. Recinto que en el día de hoy fue lugar de los hechos para el encuentro entre los Diablos Rojos y el Nottingham Forest.
Dos conjuntos con realidades muy distintas. El Forest está hundido en el fondo de la tabla peleando por no descender, mientras que del otro lado está el United, que de a poco va engranando y encontrando el equipo ideal en esta llamada "reconstrucción" de la mano del Neerlandesa Eric Ten Hag.
Los Red Devils, venían de doblegar en casa por 2-0 al Burnley, partido correspondiente a la Copa de la Liga, en la que el conjunto local en ese día al igual que hoy, no tuvo problemas para superar a su rival y pasar a siguiente ronda del torneo. Hoy el United necesitaba ganar, después de aquella victoria correspondiente a aquel torneo. Y es que si perdía puntos esta noche, el Arsenal y el Newcastle le sacaban alguna diferencia más en la lucha por los primeros puestos de la Premier. Además de eso, ganando hoy significaba ponerse a solo un punto del cuarto puesto (último cupo para ir a Champions) que está ocupado por el Tottenham, que en el día de ayer dividió puntos ante el Brentford en una visita difícil a las afueras de Londres.
Para el encuentro de hoy, el técnico Neerlandés no podía contar con la presencia de Diogo Dalot, Jadon Sancho (lesión) y Lisandro Martínez. Este último por razones obvias ya que quedó campeón del mundo hace poco más de 7 días y por eso será el último en incorporarse al grupo para esta segunda mitad de temporada que será tan ajetreada como la primera.
El United formó de esta manera para este partido ante el Forest:

El segundo gol de los locales no se haría esperar mucho, y tres minutos después llegaría el tanto de Martial en una excelente jugada de contraataque iniciada en campo propio con un gran envío aéreo a la banda de Bruno para Rashford y éste que se sacó a un rival para la llegada solo en el medio del francés con reciente paso por el Sevilla que logra doblegar la débil resistencia del guardameta Galés para sacar dos tantos de diferencia antes de la media hora de partido.
En la segunda parte el partido fue más de lo mismo, pero esta vez el United con un poco más de tranquilidad y sin pasar casi sobresaltos en defensa pudo sentenciar el encuentro en varias ocasiones. No fue hasta el minuto 87' de partido cuando Casemiro cortó una pelota en tres cuartos de cancha, para mandar un hermoso pase en profundidad para su compatriota Fred, que definió de muy buena manera a la izquierda del arquero y así meter la daga definitiva al Nottingham Forest.
Con esta importante victoria, los de Ten Hag se mantienen en la quinta plaza a solo un punto de los Spurs con un partido menos y con toda una segunda mitad de temporada por delante. Destacar por supuesto la presencia de Carlos Henrique Casimiro en la mitad de la cancha. Para nadie es una sorpresa la calidad de jugador y la importancia que tiene en cualquier equipo que ha estado, pero siempre es grato verlo al máximo nivel en todos los partidos. Le costó unos partidos nada más para llegar y adueñarse del mediocampo de los Red Devils. Sus cortes, sus robos altos cerca del área contraria, esa facilidad y "simpleza" para jugar, ese equilibrio, y por supuesto, es de vital importancia para que Bruno y Ericksen se suelten y jueguen más en zonas ofensivas. Haciendo recordar por supuesto en menor medida y en otro sistema de juego, a la libertad y soltura que él con su presencia otorgaba a Kroos y a Modric en el Real Madrid.

Not naming Marcus Rashford would be a mistake on my part. What a level the Englishman is at! Little by little reminding me of the Rashford before he got injured. I am impressed by the confidence and poise he has when playing, obviously this is where the coach's hand appears to give him confidence and tell him "you will be my reference in attack". Ten Hag bet on him even leaving Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench. Something that is not to my liking but we must admit and accept that so far it has given him the expected results.

A mí juicio Rashford es un delantero de segunda, no es constante y eso le resta calidad, además suele fallar unos goles que a simple vista son fáciles de marcar. En cuanto a dejar a Cr7 en el banquillo pienso que ha sido una jugada arriesgada pero favorable, todo se dió en el peor momento emocional de Cristiano y eso trajo cierta justificación a su lineamiento. Por otro lado, pienso que Ronaldo ya no está en el nivel que requiere el fútbol actual para ser titular, esas posiciones deben ocuparlas los jóvenes. Y para concluir, cualquier equipo europeo que reciba a Cristiano difícilmente le de la titularidad.
Si, da un poco de bronca como fan de Cristiano la situación que está viviendo actualmente.
Creo que Rashford está jugando muy bien y está siendo mucho más efectivo de cara a puerta, y no solo en el United, también tuvo un muy buen Mundial con Inglaterra marcando tres goles. La confianza que le ha dado Ten Hag hace que se suelten un poco más.

Desgraciadamente no pude ver el partido porque tenía que salir, pero me hubiese encantado ver esta victoria del equipo en la Premier League, aunque fue contra el Forest que se encuentra pasando muy mal momento.
Quienes vimos los mejores momentos del joven Marcus Rashford sabemos que es capaz de demostrar un gran nivel de juego, pero ha tenido problemas por lesiones que lo han hecho desacelerar en su camino a la grandeza. Me alegra verlo mejor.

Efectivamente, Marcus Rashford hasta antes de las lesiones era un jugador con mucha proyección en Inglaterra, ahora le ha costado volverse a reencontrar con su viejo nivel, pero cada día juega mejor y se le ve mucho más decidido en la toma de decisiones y de cara a puerta.

El United ha comenzado muy fuerte en esta reanudación de temporada, aunque ciertamente aún no ha jugado contra un rival realmente poderoso, pero este equipo está emocionando cada vez más en su forma de jugar, la adaptación de Casemiro al centro del campo ha sido muy importante, se complementa de gran forma con Eriksen.

Exactamente, toda la generación de fútbol del United pasa por el Danés y por el Portugués en la mitad de la cancha,como tú bien dices, esa será una de las claves para que el Barca pueda anularlos en esa serie de UEFA Europa League por allá por Febrero.
Lo de Rashford últimamente está siendo muy bueno y por supuesto está siendo el más determinante del equipo pero de lejos.

Ya no está la manzana de la discordia, Cristiano Ronaldo ha abandonado al equipo de Erik Ten Hag, ya no hay excusas para un vestuario que supuestamente, se encontraba envenenado por el portugués y que se volcó completamente en su contra tras sus polémicas declaraciones. Manchester United tiene una plantilla tremenda y no clasificar a la Liga de Campeones sería un fracaso tremendo.
