Hola mi gente linda de Hive, es un placer estar nuevamente con ustedes.
En esta ocasión quiero compartir la experiencia que vivieron varios amigos de la ciudad de El Tigre, en especial mi amigo Jhonatan Ruiz el pasado 19 de septiembre en la ciudad de Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela.

This time I want to share the experience that several friends of the city of El Tigre, especially my friend Jhonatan Ruiz lived last September 19 in the city of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela.

Se trata nada más y nada menos que de La Bestia Urban Race. Un evento que se viene celebrando desde hace varios años y que en esta ocasión se trató de una Carrera Urbana de 10 Km de distancia y 18 obstáculos, la misma se realizó en las instalaciones del estadio CTE Cachamay y se contó con la participación de alrededor de 500 corredores.

Inicialmente esta carrera estaba pautada para el 29 de marzo de 2020, pero con la llegada de la pandemia y según las medidas emitidas por el Ejecutivo Nacional y el Ministerio del Poder Popular para el Deporte en su momento suspendieron todos los eventos masivos que se realizaban en todo el territorio nacional por un periodo de 30 días. Para en esa ocasión realmente desconocíamos las consecuencias que traía esta pandemia y con el aumento de los contagios se fue extendiendo la reprogramación de esta competencia. Sin embargo, para 07 de febrero del presente año los organizadores le asignan nueva fecha al evento, siendo las misma reprogramada durante varias fechas en el mismo mes de febrero y marzo para ser finalmente suspendida hasta nuevo aviso en esta ocasión por los incrementos de contagios por la variante brasilera del COVID-19.

Sin embargo, Jhonatan y el resto de los muchachos continuaban esperando una nueva fecha, hasta que finalmente el 01 de agosto los organizadores informaron que la misma se celebraría para el 19 de septiembre 2021 y con menos de 2 meses todos empezaron a preparase para competir.
El entusiasmo y las exigencias se acrecentaban al estar cada vez más cerca de la fecha. Cada fin de semana aumentaban las distancias recorridas y mejoraban el registro en los tiempos de cada uno de ellos, realizaban competencias internas y compartían sus conocimientos con el fin de mejorar cada día.

Finalmente, el sábado 18 de septiembre Jhonatan y cada uno de los competidores realizaron el retiro del Kit de Competencia en la ciudad de Puerto Ordaz. La cuidad comenzó a llenarse de atletas participantes, colaboradores, familiares y amigos, el ambiente que se respiraba era de mucha alegría y entusiasmo, así lo describió nuestro amigo Ruiz. Los motivos que impulsaron a cada participante era diferente en lo único que coincidían era en disfrutar su participación.
Primero iniciaron un recorrido de 3Km solo trote o carrera, según la capacidad de cada competidor, luego fueron 3km adicionales subiendo las gradas del polideportivo Cachamay, realmente un verdadero reto, cansancio y de adrenalina a mil, luego pasaron por varios obstáculos, como rampas, cauchos, tanques de agua, lodo, arrastre, saltar, escalar y todo muy divertido pero agotador.

Deseo poder participar el próximo año, realmente es contagiante escuchar las anécdotas de cada uno de mis amigos en especial las anécdotas de Jhonatan, él lo describe como un sitio de buena vibra, para conocer, compartir, ganar salud y buenos compañeros. Lo recomienda 100% a todos, nunca es tarde… me indico que había personas de todas las edades, tamaños, mujeres embarazadas, de diferentes pesos cada uno a su ritmo y cada uno con sus metas personales.

¿Y si te pregunta en qué lugar llego Jhonatan? Te cuento que obtuvo el 5to lugar en su categoría y el puesto número 14 en toda la competencia. Realmente nada mal, aunque nos esperábamos el primer lugar.

Realmente siempre es un placer... Es grato compartir mis experiencias y anécdotas con ustedes.
It was nothing more and nothing less than La Bestia Urban Race. An event that has been held for several years and this time it was an Urban Race of 10 km distance and 18 obstacles, it was held in the facilities of the CTE Cachamay stadium and had the participation of about 500 runners.

Initially this race was scheduled for March 29, 2020, but with the arrival of the pandemic and according to the measures issued by the National Executive and the Ministry of People's Power for Sports at the time suspended all mass events that were held throughout the national territory for a period of 30 days. At that time we were really unaware of the consequences of this pandemic and with the increase in the number of infections, the rescheduling of this competition was extended. However, by February 7th of this year the organizers assigned a new date to the event, being the same rescheduled for several dates in February and March to finally be suspended until further notice on this occasion due to the increase of infections by the Brazilian variant of COVID-19.

However, Jhonatan and the rest of the boys continued to wait for a new date, until finally on August 1st the organizers informed that it would be held on September 19, 2021 and with less than 2 months everyone began to prepare to compete.
The enthusiasm and the demands were increasing as the date was getting closer and closer. Every weekend they increased the distances run and improved their times, held internal competitions and shared their knowledge in order to improve every day

Finally, on Saturday, September 18, Jhonatan and each of the competitors made the collection of the competition kit in the city of Puerto Ordaz. The city began to fill with participating athletes, collaborators, family and friends, the atmosphere was full of joy and enthusiasm, as described by our friend Ruiz. The motives that drove each participant were different, the only thing they agreed on was to enjoy their participation.

First they started a 3Km run or jog, depending on the ability of each competitor, then they were 2km additional climbing the steps of the sports center Cachamay, really a real challenge, tiredness and adrenaline to a thousand, then they went through several obstacles, such as ramps, tires, water tanks, mud, drag, jumping, climbing and all very fun but exhausting

I wish I could participate next year, it is really contagious to hear the anecdotes of each of my friends, especially the anecdotes of Jhonatan, he describes it as a place of good vibes, to meet, share, gain health and good companions. He recommends it 100% to everyone, it is never too late, he told me that there were people of all ages, sizes, pregnant women, of different weights, each one at their own pace and each one with their personal goals.

And if I ask you what place did Jhonatan get? He came in 5th place in his category and 14th place in the whole competition. Not bad, although we were expecting first place.

Todo un merito el solo hecho de participar y aun mas, que se haya podido realizar la competencia con tantas limitaciones en la actualidad. Un puesto 14 es un gran logro dada la cantidad de participantes y espero puedas lograr ese anhelo de participar en la competencia y claro, nos puedas compartir ese momento.
