Hello, my dear co-hivers!
I'm sharing the orientation that happened at Caduawan ,Tabogon, Cebu. It was happening at the mother's house of ma'am @naymhapz. The newbies were very interested and willing to learn new things that they hadn't tried in their life.
The newbies who attended were students and teachers. From what I had observed during the orientation they were inquisitive while sir @ybanezkim26, @indayclara, and @intoy.boguy discussed Hive. They listened attentively.
They were students and teachers who attended the orientation.
Our snacks
We had our bread from a famous bakeshop in the Philippines which is Julie's Bakeshop and paired it with soda.
This is what we prepared for lunch.
Ma'am @jobeliever bought the fish and pork at Ilihan Public Market which is next to Barangay Caduawan. It took 5-10 minutes by motorcycle to go there.
I helped @jobeliever and @iamgagz09 in the preparation of grilling the fish and pork. I marinated the pork with salt only because Ma'am @naymhapz is not used to having soy sauce, vinegar, or any seasonings in marinate. I was amazed because she still adopted the old style of marinating. It's an advantage to our health as well. The doctor advised the minimal use of seasonings in cooking.
I add some salt only in the meat as what Ma'am @naymhapz requested. I helped ma'am @jobeliever in putting onion and tomato inside the belly of the fish.
The fish is called "bangus" or milkfish. It is the national fish of the Philippines. I like to eat this when it's grilled or fried. Before frying, I marinated it with calamansi, salt, and black pepper.
@iamgagz09 who made the fire for grilling. I just assisted her in grilling the fish and meat together with ma'am @jobeliever and ma'am @naymhapz.
The Filipino Boodle Fight ( Kamayan Style Dining)
This is the Filipino boodle fight that was adopted from the Filipino military eating together with hands. No use of utensils in eating because the soldiers have no plates and spoons while eating after training. They just used the banana leaves instead of plates. However, it is fun eating together with the use of hands while standing.
Filipino boodle fight is famous in some of the restaurants in Cebu and in the whole Philippines. There were some Foreigners who were curious and visited our country. Some of them were vloggers. Some were just curious and wanted to experience the culture of Filipinos the way we eat. They said that it can increase the appetite when using hands while eating.
We mostly use Filipino Boodle Fight when there's something to celebrate with family, friends, classmates, or any occasion we have. In wedding celebrations, there were few Filipinos who used that way of eating.
We, Filipinos wash our hands before having a boodle fight. That's very important in eating.
I wore blue shirt at the front.
It was fun eating with them through Filipino Boodle Fight.
We had some topic shared that is related to Hive.
After our lunch, we talked a lot.
Then, we went to little Batanes of Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu which takes 20-30 minutes through hiking.
Anyway, I hope more members will join Hive and can attend the orientation soon.
Thank you for taking time reading my blog about our Hive Orientation last weekend.

Thank you.
Giving yourself to train the newbies is a nice thing as they will not find it difficult to flow. The dish looks welcoming I wish to have a taste of it.
You look good. Do have a blessed week
It is necessary that they were trained well before starting it. Anyway, thank you for your appreciation in our dish. You may try there grilling pork or fish in your place but marinate it first at least 30 minutes.
❤️👏🏼❤️
Thank you so much for inviting us!
I love your shirt!
