Hello Hivers, how are you doing today, I hope all are doing great. I would like to share with you another onboarding orientation but this time it's a refresher.
April 9 was proclaimed as a Regular holiday in our country. A week before the said date we had agreed to have a refresher orientation here with the Naga onboarded team with the approval of sir @intoy.bugoy. The purpose is to enhance and upgrade the newly onboarded members to better blogging and to remind them of their engagement with fellow bloggers.
Another reason for a refresher orientation is to support one another as the hive community in Naga Cebu was growing. Some of the members invited and brought someone to attend the orientation. We had seven people who attended with us and wanted to learn about Hive.
Overall we were twenty-six in attendance including the aspiring newbies. I assigned someone to share their experiences on this platform.
The orientation started at 10:30 in the morning. We started it with a prayer and a short devotional led by @queeniemary. Then the orientation begins.
We played the game 7up first to get to know each other. After the short game, we started it with the basics of Hive as I explained to them what decentralized, blockchain, ecosystem, and the difference between Web 3. I explained to them again because we have new attendees and to remind everyone what is this platform. Then explaining the governing bodies the Hive and Hive-backed dollars.
I always involved them in my discussion if they recall their first orientation. Then we navigated together inside the Peakd and the different communities. The discussions were so enjoyable as everyone participated.
The next topic will be how to make intro blogs, I called @kyla bacaro and she tells her experience in writing intro blogs, she also explained some tips and ways to make blogs. Then I elaborate more on how to make intro blogs, how to get curated, the different guilds, and the role of OCD in the newbies under the onboarding program.
Then I give @chaparlepez to share about engaging, highlighting the correct way of making comments on other posts. No spam post, no smileys only but a comment that creates a conversation with one another. He also discussed that we must engage daily as it helps to increase reputation and not only to create friendships with our fellow bloggers around the world.
The last ones we discussed were the dos and don'ts of blogging, no to plagiarism, no to AI-generated pictures proper sourcing and posts, and a lot more. @keith-allen15 also shared with us how to withdraw using Binance as some of them were in two months and wanted to experience withdrawing their hard work.
We finished the orientation by 1 pm and we were all hungry. I prepared lunch for everyone and we were having a budol fight for lunch to show camaraderie. Good thing @crissacor @darkrose and @keith-allen15 shared something to buy sodas for everyone. We enjoy the food together like a family. We also have an unripe banana with bagoong brought by @keith-allen15 early this morning.
The aspiring newbies were with us and encouraged them to start their introblog. The day was over when everyone departed and we were left with some cleaning errands 😅. But it's fine with us knowing that everyone was refreshed with the orientation, be a better hiver and the bond of one another grow deeper into a family.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, may this become an inspiration to become a better hiver to everyone. See you on my next blog.🥰
