Spreading anything worthwhile to more people is sharing your love and time. Nonetheless, it was never a time wasted!
Greetings amazing people of the Hive! It's another amazing day to share with you our love and time in expanding our family in Hive as spread it through orientations and meet-ups. This time at Malingin Elementary School, Malingin, City of Bogo, Cebu, Philippines!
The school principal of Malingin Elementary School, Sir Renato a.k.a. @natsve54 onboarded by @dehai, invited the onboarders to conduct an orientation about Hive in their school. Without a second thought, I willingly committed myself to support the orientation not only because I knew the principal but also because of the happiness during orientations and meet-ups given to me.
THE VENUE: MALINGIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, BOGO CITY, CEBU, PHILIPPINES
It was a fine sunny day in Bogo City! The environment of the school is very calm and peaceful. It was about 1.5 kilometers away from the National Highway. The school ground is plain and small matched with a well-positioned stage.
When I arrived, I entered an ambient room with a comfy couch. I captured some of the flowers and vases, little colorful kinds of stuff, and signages.
It is delightful to know that we also have students who attended the orientation. They were invitees of ma'am @jobeliver. These students are potential writers in school and I believe that Hive would be the best platform where they could enhance their writing skills, of course with proper guidance from OCD's onboarding program.
Speaking of invites and onboardees, I also have mine who have just recently joined the Hive, the beautiful @pearlyshell. She's a colleague who has not yet attended an orientation however I did orient her personally. I am happy that she made it because I told her that it's better to hear the hows and whats of Hive from @indayclara and her team.
KNOWING A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYONE: SELF-INTRO...
Since we were waiting for the laptop and @intoybugoy to arrive, we started the day by getting to know each other by having a short self-introduction.
At last, after a little delay, @intoybugoy finally arrived with the laptop so we, headed by @indayclara, immediately started the orientation. She discussed and explained thoroughly all about Hive, what is it about, and how it works.
@intoy.bugoy also presented how to navigate the platform and the features it has. He demonstrated what can be seen or found in your Hive account.
As designated, @jobeliever gave a short discussion on what must be in a quality blog. She took one of the blogs of @intoy.bugoy as a sample for the attendees.
Then, @indayclara comprehensively explained the mechanics of payout in every blog and how the payout system works. She also explained what's in the wallet of every account.
After which, I took the floor to talk about the Dos and Don'ts of blogging which was assigned to me by @indayclara beforehand. Although a little nervous, I did my best to share what I learned from my mentor.
Lastly, @dehai also shared about the topic assigned to her. She talked about how to get curated from first until to your succeeding posts.
OPEN FORUM: Q & A PORTION
There were a lot of questions and concerns raised however, I only captured one in my phone, hehe... (As I told you, I was in charge of indayclara's cam...haha) Fortunately, miss clara answered all the concerns comprehensively in which all the questions were answered and all the concerns were addressed.
Finally, everyone was set for a group photo!
SUMPTUOUS LUNCH... A fulfilling discussion deserves a sumptuous food! Lunch for everybody! We are extremely grateful to all Hivers who have shared their blessing, present and not. Because of it, we were able to raise enough fund to prepare food for all the attendees. Thanks to @dehai and @natsve54 who was the in charge of the food preparation. Food makes and brings everyone closer! And it is more fun when shared by everyone. Honestly, I think we were all hungry already because we finished the orientation past twelve, hehe... Clean as you go... While, these two amazing ladies, @naymhapz and @dehai, took care of the dishes... After everything was cleaned, we sat around for a while to talk about the orientation and some important matters like Christmas Party preparations and more. Last pose before we left the post at the front ground of the school! The smiles of a job well done! That ends our OCD Onboarding Program Orientation experience at Malingin Elementary School, City of Bogo, Cebu. Thank you so much Hivers for reading this far! I hope you find the same inspiration in spreading Hive in your place too. Side news! It's my first Hive Anniversary today and I feel the same love and support from all of you! Til next blog. See you around my friends! Big hugs!
