Hello, Hivers ๐. Still busy attending the left and right parties? Same here, I've been tasked to be in charge of our Christmas Party at work.
Let me share with you my unforgettable and wonderful experience during the FIRST HIVE CHRISTMAS PARTY CEBU 2023.
A Short Story
The said Christmas Party was already set with a date and a venue by @indayclara but I am still undecided about joining. I haven't settled my fees yet and I am very hesitant to join because it might conflict with my schedule. It's tough to commit to something that was so unsure of until the 2nd Onboarding came and suddenly @indayclara gave me the task of being one of the game masters for the upcoming party. I can't say NO to her so I just nodded my head, saying YES without any thoughts โบ๏ธ.
Travel Time
The day all Hivers in Cebu have been waiting for! We will be gathered for this one special event: Our First Christmas Party. Me and @naymhapz decided to go together since we have to travel to reach the venue. Also, @iamcheerfellll joined us on the trip.
Along the way, we saw @heyitsjian travelling and also going to the event. So we made a convoy, driving slowly but surely and safely towards our destination. First in the row is @naymhapz together with her daughter, the second is @heyitsjian together with her son and her sweetheart and lastly me together with my daughter and @iamcheerfellll.
And finally, after almost an hour of travel, we arrived safe and sound at the venue. The venue is Sacaan Tropical Breeze Resort located in Barangay Tabunok, Sogod, Cebu, Philippines.
We are welcomed by this beautiful, calm sea. Oh very relaxing view ๐ฎ.
Before the program started, @indayclara instructed us to make a presentation to add spice to the program. As we are all surprised, an impromptu presentation would not be easy but for the Hive Community, we can do this.
We immediately group ourselves and with our little time of preparation, we compose and practice our presentation.
๐CEBU HIVE CHRISTMAS PARTY๐
As @callmesmile stood up in the center, that's the sign that we are all waiting for. She will be the master of the ceremony ๐ and as a start, she led the invocation.
Little did we know, @indayclara thought of another exciting way to start the program. As we have the Hawaiian Theme for this party, she wanted us to ramp up our getups. Without second thoughts, we all got ready and everyone was so game to ramp.
We are then welcomed by the highest ranking of all of us hives, Sir Kim Ybaรฑez.
We then proceeded to the first set of our parlour games. As game masters, I and @heyitsjian prepared the props and explained to the players the mechanics of the game. We can see the eagerness of each player to win this game - to win a Hive T-shirt.
Then the first group had their presentation.
After, we had another set of game, the statue dance. They will dance to the music and pause if the music is off. The flow of the program came like this... We play a game after each presentation.
After the second group, sir @ybanezkim26 announced the winner for the best in Hawaiian attire. They choose 5 best in attire but @apieceofgwyn stands out of them all. She was awarded a hive t-shirt while the rest were given a chocolate as consolation prize.
Grabbing an opportunity to have a picture with our Queen Mother @indayclara.
Right after the awarding, @indayclara announced that we take our lunch first. We had a photo opportunity for each group or table and then we proceeded to the buffet table. We also booked the food from this resort.
As we enjoyed our sumptuous lunch, we also chatted with other members of the group.
Later after, @indayclara distributed oranges that were brought by @missbebeth (thank you sponsor ๐).
After lunch, we already proceeded to the presentation of the third and fourth groups. The crowd was cheering a lot ๐๐.
Another energy-taking game we play with a twist, as @indayclara will be a destruction to the players. The well-known Trip to Jerusalem game. She will sit not on the chair but on the player who was already sitting on the chair. This made us all attentive to the game with lots of laughter on our faces.
Right after all the groups had presented, we then proceeded to the traditional Manito Manita kind of exchanging our gifts. We have codenames given by @indayclara, as we give our gift we have to think of what kind or who is our partner and describe them as best as we can.
And the last part of this wonderful party is the picture taking or group picture. We were all in the frame as one Cebu hive community. A united group of people sharing the same passion.
Wait! Where are we looking? Of course, we will not miss the shot from the camera of @intoy.bugoy ๐.
The Cebu Hive Christmas Party 2023 officially ended with closing remarks and words of gratitude by @indayclara. We are very lucky to have them as our leaders ( @ybanezkim26, @indayclara and @intoy.bugoy ) who are very much willing to guide us in our Hive Journey. This was a magnificent party ๐ that I am sure will mark in our hearts and minds and will make a memory to each of us. I am grateful to be part of this group. I hope we all last and stay united. Till then.

When it comes to a party, we can't say no because we know the party is once a year. We really know that party was an enjoyable moment in our lives. I'm happy to see you guys enjoying it. And I'm hoping soon we will join the HIVERS party.๐ฅณ
