" Let's Keep Growing "

This event happened one month ago last September 9, 2023. I know, it is a little bit late for this but this kind of event deserves to be shared and flex the people behind this kind of initiative.

If you observe in some of my published blogs, I shared with you our Hive Onboarding Orientations in the northern part of Cebu Philippines. In this area theirs an amazing circle of teachers making a buzz in the community by sharing Hive with their loved ones and bringing more individuals inside the platform.

This time I will share with you my 3rd time in this area doing a Hive Onboarding Orientation. In our prevoius orientation, we conducted in schools of Caduwaan Elementary School and Kal-anan National High School Tabogon Cebu. ( You can check below our two previous Onboarding Orientation)

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm: @naymhapz Residence Caduawan Tabogon, Cebu Philippines

Our latest orientation was held in the house of one of our generous teacher bloggers maam @naymhapz. We are really grateful to her for offering their place to be a venue for our Orientation. Honestly, during our preparation, we had a little problem with the place because usually, we conduct it in schools but unfortunately that time it is not available. Thankful to maam @naymhapz for suggesting her place to hold this event.

We have eight confirmed interested individuals about the platform, which is fewer compared to the previous two events we held but this number is not a problem for us as long there is interested and need our assistance about the platform we open our hands to share it with them and guide them on this community.

Day of Orientation

From Compostela Cebu where I live, I travel at 5:30 am in the morning to catch up at the time scheduled, Travel time from Compostela to Tabogon is two and a half hours. I took the bus as transportation and the travel fare was 3$ only. I arrive in Tabogon at exactly 7:30 a.m. I'm one and a half hours early before the scheduled time. Actually, I didn't expect to arrive early, I fell asleep on the bus and when I opened my eyes I saw the Caduawan Elementary School of Tabogon. I panicked a little bit and asked the driver to stop the bus 🤣. Funny because I almost surpassed the place in no time.

After dropping on the bus, I asked some people nearby where maam @naymhapz's house was. The house is just a few steps away from the Caduawan Elementary School. When ma'am @naymhapz saw me she was shocked cause I was too early for the event. She let me in at her house and offered coffee and bread for breakfast.

While waiting for the others we had some good talks, maam @naymhapz shared some of her personal life struggles and challenges. I'm shocked at how heavy of a story she shared with me about her family. Beyond the smiley face she had I never thought the burdens and struggles she carried on. She is a strong woman and mom indeed. She will endure all the pain for her family.

In the middle of our conversation, some of our fellow bloggers started coming up, so we began to prepare the venue. A few minutes @indayclara, @ybanezkim26, and other attendees showed up. When all was complete we quickly set up the presentation and started the Onboarding Orientation.

The orientation starts by Introducing ourselves and why we do this kind of event. We also share our journey on the platform and most of the blogs we publish. We also asked the attendees why are they interested in joining the platform and their interest in life.

About Hive and PeakD interface

First, @indayclara discusses Hive and how these social media differ from the other platforms we use. She also shares her journey and how she meets the platform. Next was @ybanezkim26 discussing deeper about the blockchain and other front ends of the web 3. He also discusses the difference between Web 2 and Web 3 platforms. I followed Kim by discussing and navigating the @peakd Interface. How they make a blog and publish it on the platform.

Reward System, Do's and Dont's

We also discuss the reward system, the curation, and how they make good and quality blogs. @indayclara also discusses the dos and don'ts in blogging. She highlights plagiarism and how sinful it is in the community.

OCD Program

After, she also discussed the OCD Programs. For everyone's information, this Onboarding Orientation is a program by @OCD. We conduct this kind of orientation in line with the guild's goals and initiative.

The orientation was indeed two and a half hours. It is finished with an interactive question and answer with the attendees. Then follow by the Photo opt as Documentation.

We are happy that it was another successful Hive Onboarding Orientation in this area. We are hoping they found this event informative and an opportunity as well to enter the world of Hive.

Sumptuous Lunch

After the event ended by 12:00 p.m., the amazing teacher-blogger Host prepared a sumptuous lunch meal for us. They have grilled Porks and grilled Bangus for our meal. It was a delightful food indeed, They always spoiled us with delicious foods after the event and we are very thankful with it. We are always grateful to the people behind this activity (@naymhapz, @callmesmile @jobeliever, @mommyjane, @annetimistic, @iamgagz09,@netswriting, @missleray) Thank you for making this event happen. And also to the others thank you for joining us and making time for this orientation.

I hope to see everyone inside the hive and let's spread the good news of this platform with the others. Actually, we visited a new place after the meal but let me write it in another blog, cause the place deserves a spotlight.
