Greetings to my fellow Hivers! I hope everyone is in good health and doing well.
I have been away from Hive for about two weeks due to some circumstances in my life. Added to the fact also that it was Holiday season and I got busy. Since I have been with Hive for almost a month I would just like to share how I started in this platform.
MY BEGINNING:
It all started when my neighbor @romeskie invited me to join Hive. I do not have an idea what Hive is so she patiently explained to me that it is about blogging and other things. She even took the time to come into my house and teach us the basics of what HIVE is about. It was a one on one seminar that she did for us.
After that session, @romeskie keeps urging me to write my introduction to Hive. But I kept telling her that I'm still busy (which is just an excuse for me). I did not tell her that I had many apprehensions in joining. One of them is, I do not know if I would be able to write because I'm not a writer. Two, I might be judged for my writing skills and other excuses.
But Rome was so persistent in reminding me about my introduction. Out of shame for Rome I drafted an introduction half halfheartedly just to appease her (she was not aware of it). After reading my draft, she told me that it needs to be expounded because it was so straightforward. I explained to her that in my job I'm used to sending an email that is short and concise. Even in the documentation that we do. She then told me not to worry, she would just expound it a little and it would be ready for posting. She even helped me in the design of my introductory. That is how hands on Rome was to me.
When my introduction to hive was posted I was so happy. I can not believe that I already have an account in Hive. I thought that was it, I'm done writing my introduction and I already have an account. Little did I know that it was just the beginning of my being hooked to HIVE. Because here comes my mentor reminding me again that I need to write a follow up on my introduction. That is how persistent my teacher is (that is how I address Rome ). That is how I began in Hive.
Well, for some people writing might be an easy task but for me it was a struggle. I have to think of topics that I can write, designs or pictures that I can use added to that also is the time to do so because I am also working full time. But luckily after my third post I began to get the hang of it.
HOW AM I AFTER A MONTH:
I can't believe that I survived my one month in Hive. After all the challenges that I had been through, I am now more comfortable in Hive. I am not saying that I'm already good, because I'm still in the process of learning from others. And I know that I still have a long way to go before I can say that I have already mastered this craft.
What keeps me inspired in continuing in this platform is that I felt I found another family and friends. I felt the warmth when they welcomed me. They were lavish in sending encouragements and helpful tips to a newbie like me treating me as one of their own.
It has also been also learning process for me staying in HIVE. By reading the writing of others I learned some lessons in life, some made me laugh, sad and inspired. I came to travel to other places by reading and by looking at the pictures posted by travelers, learning other traditions , reading poems, arts and crafts. There are endless communities that we can interact to depending on one's interest.
MY FUTURE PLANS IN HIVE:
I'm planning to broaden my horizon in Hive by learning the other opportunities that they are offering like trading. I find this confusing and complicated but I'm trying to study it my reading and by the help of my daughter in law. In time know I would be able to understand it better.
I would also like to try to delegate to some communities as a give back.
I visited the games that they are offering but I think that is not my area I would just leave it to others.
This New year I'm going to try writing pieces that is relevant and can inspire others. I know it's a tall order for me but I know I just need more inspiration and guidance. I promise myself that no matter how busy I am I will still try to find time writing in this platform.
Now I can say truly say that I enjoyed my one month stay in Hive. This will not be possible if not for the persistence of @romeskie in motivating me, believing in me and giving me all her support. I would also like to thank my fellow Hivers who I consider now as my family for supporting me.
May this New Year bring a fruitful and blessed one to all of us! Stay safe everyone🙂
More power to Hive!

Dear @jeannette20, we need your help!
The Hivebuzz proposal already got an important support from the community and is close to be funded. However, it misses a few votes to get past the return proposal and your could make the difference!
May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work this year?
You can do it on Peakd, ecency,
