Welcome back dear readers! It's me again Juraly Rondina. Today's blog is about my hive journey. Please bear with me as I state where it has all started.
Honestly speaking I don't have any idea what was Hive before. But I heard some people talking good things about it. Not until one day, our school join a Division School Press Conference held in Liloan, Cebu ,where all members of campus journalists compete in English and Filipino in different categories. And I'm one of the journalists so I have to join the said competition. A teacher of our school joined us to be our trusted staff watching for our welfare and safety in the said event, who goes by the Hive name @jobeliever and introduce me to what Hive is and it's purpose.
I was really moved by the things she told me about Hive, it awakens my curiosity until I give it a shot. I thought to myself that it's a perfect platform for someone like me who seldomly shares the things that happens in me or in my surroundings personally. I usually keep things in myself, so through the platform I can share everything without judgement.
On March 30, 2024, ma'am Jo chatted me through messenger that the Hive orientation would start at 3 pm in the afternoon along with the other recruits. I was so excited and reluctant at the same time. Excited because finally I will become one of the hivers and reluctant about socializing people personally that I barely know.
I neglected my hesitation and followed my instinct. I arrived there along with other recruits. After how many minutes everyone assembled and started the orientation. The atmosphere was so accommodating so as the orienters . They introduce the hive and everything about it, especially the Dos and the Don'ts. They let us asked questions about the hive and tried their best to answer all our queries.
I went home after the orientation, we were told to make an introblog. I was confused if what part of my life I will weave into an introblog. I decided to write what I think best suits me. After weeks of busy days I finally created my introblog and posted it in Hive.
I'm officially one of the Hivers. From the moment I stepped into the platform, I've been like a growing baby that absorbing all the knowledge each day ,meeting fellow hivers, trying to engage and asking questions that still puzzled me.Each day as I keep on navigating the Hive, I found out that Hive is more than just a platform, its an ecosystem of ideas, connections and shared experiences.
Hive makes me a keen observer of my own personal daily happenings as well as those of people inside the platform, from the simple moments to the precious ones. Before,I thought everything was merely normal that occured in our daily existence. Now, I found out that everyday happenings are special. And every moment is a blessing that I must treasure and every person around me has a role that it needs to portray. It opens my eyes to reality and see the world without leaving my own country by reading other hivers blog and seeing those photos they have shared. They let me see the beauty of our planet which is impossible for me to witness since I have never travelled outside my country. I learned to be grateful and kind and how to so socialize and engage with other hivers better. It made my eyes open and understand, respect other perspectives and cultures and to judge less. Seems like I'm slowly moving out of my box and trying to peek the world outside my comfort zone with a kind heart. It really brought me some changes that I guess it makes me grow in the long run.
I'm thankful to ma'am @jobeliever for introducing Hive to me, you really don't know how much Hive has helped me.
I hope I will make a better connection with every person I interacted with on this platform. Because it hard for me to keep a friend to be honest.
I will end my blog here and see you soon on my next blog. Have a good day everyone.

Good luck on your hive journey! engaging is important but not many do it. You can definitely discover a lot of new stuff when you engage even within your own interest.
Thank you @macchiata , just that sometimes it's hard for me to engage with other hivers because my English vocabulary is limited.
Same here miss @juralyrondina Joining Hive was the best decision I ever made. Thanks to Miss jo for the guidance.
