We're getting closer to the event, which will be held twice: one on 21 December and an offline activity on 19 January 2025
There have been a few updates, but only today did I have the time to sit down and update everything. About two weeks ago, we had another meeting to finalize the place, funding, and the final deal that the event is happening.
Most importantly, thank you to @ocd and @acidyo for making this event happen, as well as to others who have supported and voted on this chain of posts so that we can make this event happen.
As a reminder, this is a project for which we are the main sponsor of the event. This sponsorship provides us with unique opportunities to engage with their audience and networks, enhancing our brand recognition and reach.
With this event, we have a unique opportunity to significantly boost our brand recognition, especially in a place where Solana is already well-known. This event will help us establish a more substantial presence in this region.
This week, we're holding a technical meeting for the collaboration contest. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the contest guidelines, judging criteria, and publication process for the winners' works, which will be published on the @menulisid page and Hive.
Just to be clear, these are what we'll get :
- Prominent Logo placement and event materials
- Mention in their media coverage and releases
- Naming rights for the event
- Speaking Opportunities
- Booth area
- Access to their graphic designers and detailed report on event impact and attendee demographic.
TLDR, in case you don't want to read the boring stuff
- We received funding supported by @ocd at 320 HBD
- We booked the venue for offline events with a hive booth.
- We'll be moving forward with the contest
- I have printed some stickers for the event and keychain as well.
- I am currently looking for reputed vendors and doing test samples for most of the merchandise
- Our merchandise will include (a tote bag, a crafted pen, an A5 notebook, stickers, and a keychain)
- We'll have some fun activities with door prizes that include ( Hive Tumblr, shirts, caps, and mugs)
- With our budget of approximately $360, we also reserve an emergency fund that is roughly $20
- We created Posts and Pre-test for the events to assess people's interests and knowledge on blockchain and Hive
I also extend my sincere thanks to @doze. Although he is no longer active on Hive, his contributions, particularly his designs that perfectly captured the essence of Hive, have left a lasting impact on this project and are mainly used in many graphic designs.
I am also calling for community founders/moderators if they want to promote their community as part of the Hive ecosystem.
Please let me know if you have any graphics, I could use to print as stickers to be included in the merchandise. So far, I have @OCD stickers, and I'd love to get more to showcase that Hive has a massive ecosystem worth exploring.
That's all the updates for this project; I'll draw up more after the technical meeting over the weekend.

Okay - let's leave it for the post-event when everyone's had a bit of time to assimilate some of the information from the event. Also the new year will have started, whereas 21 December, we'll just be finishing off.
