Hi Hiverians,
I'm neyo and this is my application to the newbies initiative program.
I stumbled upon this opportunity few days ago while surfing the block chain. Then I also checked out @starstrings01 post about the initiative, being new to hive I must confess I was impressed.
As instructed, I reached out to @projectmamabg (did I forget to mention she's drop dead friendly and approachable) who immediately made me this awesome badge, and its dope.

Unsure of what to write in the application or should I say lack of inspiration as a newbie, I kept the badge and froze up for 2 days. Buh shout out to @queenstarr who encouraged me to give it a shot.

My current reputation is 35 while my current HP is approximately 10HP
WHY I JOINED THE NEWBIES INITIATIVE
Well, if you check out my HP and reputation above, you'll see I'm the real definition for the word "newbie". Honestly I've had a lot of help with the hive blockchain through @badmusgreene and @theterminal but I believe there's still more to learn. One of the major challenge I have is struggling with blogging and i just get lost sometimes.
And this paragraph below really caught my attention from the announcement post.
This is a program to train new users/accounts so they can have a better understanding of the capabilities of the Hive Blockchain as well as those who have not been able to develop well enough so far.
I think this sums me and why I joined this initiative up in a nut shell. And I'm a student, always.

I'm not much of a writer but I'd really love writing about sports, movies, music, culture, crypto, gaming and other interesting topics.
