Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
I have already showed you some wildlife of Zanzibar in this post and I´m still yet to prepare the long overdue post about the one and only national park on the island but before I get to make that one, I just wanted to show you some domesticated animals that you can encounter on this amazing Tanzanian archipelago.
The locals obviously have some very special bonds with their domesticated animals. This was actually the very first time that we saw so many different animals from dogs and cats to cows, bulls, goats, geese, ducks etc. just casually roaming around the streets of the towns and villages and even on the beaches. They seemed to roam completely free (and eat what they want :D) without any supervision. In fact, it was even impossible to find out who their owners were :D
The animals looked very relaxed and they were not bothered by me and my camera at all. I think with the bigger cows and bulls, I was actually more scared of them than they were of me :D But enough talking (writing). Let´s take a look at some of the pictures of the domesticated animals that I captured on the Unguja Island, Zanzibar, Tanzania.
I hope you enjoyed the photos. As I already mentioned, it was a very new and unusual experience for me. We do have domesticated animals here in my country too of course and if you head out to the Czech countryside, you can easily come across herds of cows, sheep or goats but they usually graze in fenced pasture lands and there is someone checking them out and taking care of them. The Zanzibar animals, on the other hand, seem to have absolute freedom, which is actually very nice.
So that´s it for today. Next time, hopefully, we will explore the national park that is home to the wild creatures ;) Until then... Hakuna Matata! :)
EDIT: I´m sorry about posting this post to a wrong community. I would swear I picked the Photography Lovers community for it but it somehow ended up in the Loving Hive community :( I´m not a fan of cross posting though so this post will only stay in the Loving Hive community, unfortunately. Sorry guys!
The animals most likely feel at home and at peace in this environment. Hence symbiotic living with the human dwellers is natural and easy for them. The animals do not look unkempt - so that says a lot. Great photos as always.
Well spotted, thanks for stopping by and leaving this nice comment here! ;)
I think because there is a natural life, animals also go with it. Your photos show that people and animal live together in peace.
Perhaps, there are not many people around, thus natives have contacted with animal much more than normal :)
They do live in peace and freedom indeed, it was very interesting to see :) Thanks for stopping by my friend, always a pleasure!
Wow... nice taking us on this tour together
Those domestic animals looks so healthy
Nice shots here
Thanks for sharing 👍
Yeah, they seemed to be in a good shape, although some appeared to be a bit too slim. But being so free, they should be able to eat something anytime they want, at least the cattle :) Thanks for checking out the photos, although I posted them in a wrong community :/
Yes, I read the part where you stated about posting it in a wrong community
It happens atimes...no one is above mistake but with your apology to the loving hive community, I believe they will understand you 🤗
Yeah, but the post was still muted and it looks bad on my blog :( I would like to say that it was my mistake but I´m 100% sure I picked the right community when posting the post trough hive.blog, it must have been some kind of bug... Whatever, glad to see that people still find this post and like the pictures ;)
It must be bug that caused this but worry not, it's one of those things that happens once in a while which we don't have control over it.
It's a good thing that people still found the post.
Lovely weekend to you
Woah they look indeed free at all hehhe
As free as one can be :) If cows from my country saw that, they would be jealous :D :/
Hehe
