Can you believe that my biggest complaint has always been writing the posts! The long ones in this case, that was the biggest complaint that it's a lot of work and little return, I never really thought that, I always ran after it, made some connections and so on I went and built my career.
But I confess that I never asked anything kkkk, I always taught everything and helped in everything I could, even so people don't adapt very well, unfortunately that's it. Retaining new users at Hive is complicated, so now the new members we get, I've been introducing snaps, threads or liketu, which help to keep the user with these quick actions that simulate web2 a lot!
It'll help if you also ask them what they likes. You never know some of them might like long form content others short from content. Try to be in their position and find out their interest, maybe that'll help them coming back to hive and see this place as something new 😊
I see, I hadn't looked at it that way, I really missed asking what they preferred, this or that. It's great to exchange ideas about onboarding, it makes total sense to me. A different view from what I'm used to kkkk 😄
I brought hundreds of people to Hive. Unfortunately after they saw that I was getting everything downvoted for no reason they all quit. There was nothing I could do to convince them to come back.
I imagine that with the DVs, many people who still don't understand 100% how the hive works might get scared and stop. The ones I've called simply stop because they say that "writing is complicated", so it's really hard haha
Yeah. It’s pretty disheartening for some people to work for many hours to write a long post and have it downvoted to zero on day 7 …. For no reason at all. This happens often now on Hive.
I agree with you, this is really bad.
