Hello there, hivers! It is me again, your proud provincial girl, @swtzyserrah. Some of you might be wondering why I included this in my blog. Well, I want to share with you my experiences during our hive orientation. It all started when our SK chairwoman @iamcheerfellll mentioned hive. We had a dace practice that time in our barangay covered court since there was an upcoming big event in our barangay. She mentioned how wonderful and fantastic the hive were. I remember her words that time: “Diba writer man ka sa inyong eskwelahan? ”Then I answered, “Ouh hehe, wako mag expect jid na ma impil ko Kay joke-joke raman to akong audition.”. Then she encouraged us to join the orientation.

At first, I was hesitant to join because I’m anxious about my grammar and also because I’m not comfortable talking to others using the English language. I’m also scared of judgment. I messaged my best friend about the hive and asked her if she was interested in the said orientation. Just like me, she was also hesitant at that time. Sorry, you can’t blame us; our trust issues are higher than our height.

That’s the reason why, at that time, the hive orientation that was playing in my mind was kind of blurry, but during our practice, my mind didn’t stop thinking about the orientation: why not try it? I have nothing to lose when I try, and I can also make friends there, so what if I give it a shot? And I come up with the decision that I will join the said orientation for the reason that I want to grow as a writer and I also want to get out of my comfort zone. Are you the same as me? Or have you ever felt like you were questioning your capabilities? Join me as I narrate my memorable and worth-it experience in our orientation, or, should I say, a doorway to my hive journey.

Weeks passed, and it was Friday night. @iamcheerfellll told me that the orientation would be tomorrow at 12:30 pm, and our venue was at “Paharuhay Café." I messaged my best friend that night so that she would be informed about it; I also messaged my two other friends if they wanted to come with us to the orientation—my one friend agreed and the other one did not for the reason that he has a class. Morning came, and my best friend Mary Joy messaged me that she wants me to come with her to Bogo City to buy for her medicine. I agreed to her because I didn't want her to go there alone. I also told her that we would go straight to our boarding house to pay for our monthly rent. After going to Bogo and to our boarding house, we arrived at our house at exactly 12:30. I messaged my two friends to get ready because we would be going to the orientation. I really thought that we wouldn't make it because we're late, but God is good all the time.

We had arrived at Paharuhay Cafe, and I thought that they were all complete and that they were waiting for us. But gladly, they are still waiting for the others.

This is the front view of Paharuhay Cafe. The cafe was very aesthetic and amazing, and their food prices are very affordable.

Fast forward, we are all complete, and ma'am @callmesmile started the orientation. The orientation went smoothly. She discussed everything that we needed to know. I have learned a lot from our orientation, thanks to ma'am @callmesmile and @iamcheerfellll.

After the orientation, we ate our snacks, and we also decided to go straight to the Paharuhay campsite.

After a short walk, we arrived at the reception area. The receptionist told us the dos and don'ts inside the campsite, and she also informed us about the two ways. It was up to us whether we would choose the hard way or the soft way, we choose the hard way. My back is so wet because of my sweat; it's really a hard way, hahaha, but it all paid off when we arrived at our destination.

We paid 40 pesos per head for the entrance fee.

At last, we arrived at the campsite. My heart is jumping for joy as I roam my eyes around and see plenty of trees that surround us. I can feel the cold and refreshing breeze of the air; it makes me feel at ease. What a perfect place for relaxing.

Look at that beautiful green view—isn't it amazing? I was really amazed by the place. As a nature lover like me, I'm in love with the gorgeous green scenery of Paharuhay Campsite.

1...2...3, swing :)

I really love this swing; it's very aesthetic and so relaxing. How I wish I could stay here for a long time and forget all my problems.

This area is perfect for sunset and sunrise viewing. How I wish I could experience talking to my friends in this place—laughing our lungs out and teasing each other while watching the sunset together.

Murag korek😑

Not me posing like a pro, whahahahhahaha, I really love the place; it really helps me calm down and forget my problem for a short period of time. God's creation really makes my heart melt. I don't know why, but I really appreciate small things. Nature is my happiness.

It's really been a tiring day for me, yet a memorable one. Because of that orientation, I meet new friends that I can tell are genuine.
and I am really happy because, through hive, I can express my feelings and emotions through writing. I'm a talkative person, which is why I'm really excited to share with you my fun and memorable experiences. To ma'am @callmesmile and @iamcheerfellll, I won't get tired of thanking you for opening this opportunity to me. And also to the hive, thank you so much for being part of my life.

Love @swtzyserrah
