Chronicle Of Personal Growth

in Loving HIVE ❤last year (edited)

Hello Hive!!! How is everybody doing? It's been a month since I last published a blog. The main reason is that I have been busy with my life as a student and as a son at the same time. I struggle with time management (currently working on improving this) but I'm here again. This blog will focus on how Hive has helped and impacted my life since its arrival and some of the things that made me love Hive.

HOW HAS HIVE REALLY IMPACTED MY LIFE?

Improved Writing Skills
Before Hive came along, I was really disappointed in my ability to write and construct sentences and phrases. However, through writing blogs here in Hive, I improved my writing little by little, and that really helped me in different aspects of my life. I also read books more often now to improve my vocabulary. Although, I admit that I still lack the motivation and drive to write. I really don't know why? Maybe that's just who I am? But in my opinion, writing is a useful skill that should be honed by every individual. Being literate is very crucial in today's modern world. It can put you at an advantage and be a step ahead of everyone else. This allows you to express yourself clearly, understand others, and engage in written and verbal exchanges. Literacy is also one of the main points of education. It allows you to access information and absorb knowledge in various subjects, allowing continuous learning and personal growth.

New Opportunities
With the arrival of Hive, there have been numerous opportunities that have been given to me. I seized those opportunities, stepped out of my comfort zone and just went on and had a lot of time enjoying the moment.

Chess Tournament
One of those opportunities that I mentioned is my first time (outside of school premises) participating in a chess tournament.

You can check out my blogs about this for more details in the links below:

I should be thanking my onboarder, @indayclara, for this. If I had not joined the Hive community, I would not even have a slight chance of getting attention or sponsorship from her, so it's all connected. It was such a wonderful experience that not only did I get to place top 38 in my division (It's a great enough feat in my book), but I also got to spend precious time with my friends, @penflecto and @kaijen, our adviser, @callmesmile, and @indayclara.

Despite the brief duration (It was only a 2-day experience), I hold in high regard the time and experiences shared with them during that moment as it helped strengthen our bond to an even greater extent.

New Friends
Recently, I added a few individuals to my list of friends. Some of them are classmates but we never really interacted that much, not until we got into blogging. Hive acted as a bridge or a channel for us to get closer and strengthen our bonds.

After class or on weekends, we often go on road trips to have fun, and, of course, making blogs becomes a bonus.

Passive Income
As a high-school student and an incoming college student, making a blog here on Hive can help me financially, even if it's just a little. I can still earn even when I'm busy with my academic life, as long as I publish a blog that is worthy of attraction. I'm not saying that I only publish a blog for the money, but I consider it as a bonus.

What I love about being in the Hive community is the freedom to write basically anything that comes into mind, as long as it does not heavily offend anyone. You can freely express your opinions here, make a blog about how you start your day or how your day went, make travel blogs, or even post a video of yourself singing or engaging in any other activities that you are into. I was also amazed by the positivity shown by the community. It's a breath of fresh air from the toxicity of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter etc.. The list goes on and on. Hive has helped to keep my mental health intact by not engaging in the toxicity of social media platforms.

Possible Plans Ahead
My utmost wish for Hive is to be widely known and used by all people. I have noticed and observed that Hive isn't really that well-known. When I asked my mom and some of my friends about it, they replied in Bisaya dialect, "karon pako kabati ana", which translates to "that's the first time I've heard of it" in English. To fulfill my desire, who knows? Maybe I'll become a curator one day and hold orientations to educate people about Hive and the wonderful blogging community.

I think that sums up my thoughts about Hive. I won't make this blog long, so I guess this is goodbye👋👋. I appreciate the time you took reading my blog. See you in my next blogs! Leave a follow, comment, and stay tuned. Have a nice day.

You will only know you're good,
If people tell you you're good.
