Thanks for the great overview of the gameplay. I think the card collecting aspect is really great, but the gameplay aspect is really missing something. I've played many football manager games in the past and they had a more fulfilling gameplay/animation aspect than this. A great one from back in the day was Championship Mgr that you can see here.
I completely agree. I'm guessing this is just the initial beta and there will be enhancements. I think the sky is the limit with the size of the world football market. Especially if you consider the fact that soccer has no borders and this project could increase the entire scope of SPL ecosystem.
For sure, I am still pumped for the game but hope there will be improvements in this part.

Thanks for the first view on the gamplay, looking at it, I'm glad I never bought any packs and systematically took profit on the GLX Airdrop. At the same time, when I first saw Steemmonsters I also thought it looked like a joke and didn't want to pay 10$ just to try it out which I obviously was wrong on. So in that sense I guess it might be too early to really draw any conclusions. Maybe if the players were from a league I actually followed it would be a bit more interesting.
This said, it all mainly feels like an easy copy-paste of the game/economy concept of Splinterlands that kind of works in an attempt to have something of a cash grab instead of really wanting to make a game in the first place. I have higher hopes for Soulkeep.
I too am more optimistic about Soulkeep. I wonder what the delay is there.
But regarding GLG, for me it's just that the gameplay doesn't seem interesting. I don't care about poor graphics in a beta. I bet those improve significantly. But even if it looked beautiful it wouldn't interest me without a complete gameplay overhaul.
