Hallo Allerseits!
Diese Woche habe ich meine Booster-Impfung bekommen und darf mich nun mit ein paar daraus resultierenden ErkĂ€ltungssyndromen herumschlagen đ Ein wenig weiter bin ich trotzdem gekommen, der heutige Post dazu wird aber etwas kĂŒrzer ausfallen mĂŒssen.
Da ich die Figur aus der ersten "Warhammer 40K - Imperium" Ausgabe ziemlich schick finde, habe ich mir diese als nÀchstes vorgenommen.
Diesmal habe ich direkt alle Teile nach dem Herauslösen und Entgraten direkt auf Zahnstocher geklebt, bevor ich sie grundiert habe. Dazu bohrte ich in jedes Teil ein Loch an einer Stelle, die man beim spÀteren Zusammenbau nicht mehr sehen kann, gab etwas Alleskleber auf die Spitze des Zahnstochers und steckte dann da Teil darauf.
FĂŒr die Grundierung und Lagerung zwischen den Bemalungen habe ich wieder die bewĂ€hrte Kaugummidose mit Metallteilen befĂŒllt und leicht schrĂ€g Löcher in den Ă€uĂeren Bereich des Deckels gebohrt. So lassen sich die Teile immer einfach einzeln heraus nehmen und bearbeiten und dann wieder einstecken. AuĂerdem hat man so immer alle Teile einer einzelnen Miniatur an einer Stelle.

This week I got my booster vaccination and am now struggling with some resulting effects like having a cold đ Made some progress anyway but the post today happens to be a little bit shorter. Because I really like the miniature from the first "Warhammer 40K - Imperium" issue I worked on that one next for my unit. This time I glued the parts directly onto toothsticks after cutting them from the frame and removing the flash. For this I drilled a hole into every part at a place that won't be seen after assembly, applied some glue to the tip of the toothpick and sticked the part on it. For priming and storage between the painting sessions I filled the well-proven gum bin with metal parts and drilled lighty oblique holes into the outer part around the center of the lid. This way the parts can be taken out easily for painting and then stuck back into the bin afterwards. Also you have all parts of a single miniature in one place. |
Grundiert habe ich diesmal mit dem Army Painter Colour Primer Spray "Matt White". Dies hat gut funktioniert und ich hatte eine schöne OberflĂ€che fĂŒr den Farbauftrag. Leider muss ich die Fotos von der Grundierung irgendwie gelöscht haben, ich fĂŒhre das einfach mal auf die Nebenwirkungen des Boosterns zurĂŒck đ

Danach bemalte ich zunĂ€chst den Helm komplett mit allen Details, bevor ich ans Zusammenkleben ging. So konnte ich bequem alle Stellen erreichen. Danach ging es an die beiden Teile des Körpers. Auch hier bemalte ich die Teile einzeln. Die ersten Schritte beim Bemalen der RĂŒstung waren dann wie bei meinen anderen Marines:
- Grundschicht mit Macragge Blue
- Tuschen der Vertiefungen mit Drakenhof Nightshade
- Schichten mit Altdorf Guard Blue, bis eine saubere OberflĂ€che der RĂŒstung zu sehen ist
Die Metallteile erhielten erhielten eine Schicht aus Abaddon Black, bevor ich Gehenna Gold auftrug. Die GĂŒrtelschnalle und die Ketten, an denen die Reliquien hĂ€ngen, bekamen stattdessen eine Schicht aus Leadbelcher.
Beim Leder der Taschen und bei dem Stoff wollte ich andere Farben benutzen, als bei der Referenzfigur. Ich mag dunkelrote Elemente bei meinen Ultramarines und so wurden die Stoffteile zuĂ€chst mit zwei Schichten Khorne Red grundiert. Danach konnte der Stoff zusammen mit den goldenen Elementen mit Agrax Earthshade getuscht werden. Die Taschen und den GĂŒrtel grundierte ich mit Dawnstone und tuschte dann mit Nuln Oil darĂŒber.
Danach wurde der "Kragen" an beiden HĂ€lften mit dĂŒnnen Linien aus Calgar Blue akzentuiert, damit ich dies nicht spĂ€ter machen musste und aus Versehen mit dem Pinsel den fertigen Kopf bestreiche.
Nun konnten der Kopf und die beiden KörperhÀlften zusammengeklebt werden.

| After that I first painted the helmet completely with all details before putting the parts together. As a result I was able to reach all parts comfortably. Then the two body big parts followed. Again I painted the parts separately. The first steps while painting were like with my other Ultramarines: Basecoat with Macragge Blue, inking the recesses with Drakenhof Nightshade and layering with Altdorf Guard blue to achive a smooth and clean surface of the armour. The metal parts got a layer of Abaddon Black before applying Gehenna gold to them. The belt-buckle and the chains attached to the relics instead were painted with Leadbelcher. I wanted the leather and cloth to be colored differently from the reference miniature. I like some dark red elements on my Ultramarines so the cloth parts got two coats of Khorne Red. After that the cloth could be inked together with the golden parts with Agrax Earthshade. The pockets and belt then were given a coat of Dawnstone and inked with Nuln Oil. Next the "collar"from both body halves got an accent of Calgar Blue so that I did not have to do this later and aventually hit the already finished helmet with my brush. Now the head and the two body parts were ready to be assembled. |
Die ĂŒbrigen Teile erhielten auch schon etwas Farbe, beim Schild bin ich mir noch nicht sicher, ob ich den tatsĂ€chlich weiĂ machen werde, oder lieber eine andere Grundfarbe nehme. Als nĂ€chstes werde ich zunĂ€chst einmal die RĂŒstung mit ihren Elementen komplett fertig akzentuieren und dann mit den einzelnen kleinen Teilen fortfahren.

ZusÀtzlich habe ich mir am Donnerstag noch die Ausgabe Nummer 2 der "Warhammer 40K - Imperium" Heftreihe geholt. Diesmal gabe es drei Necron-Krieger, einen Standardpinsel und einmal die Metallic-Farbe Runelord Brass.

Etwas zu enthusiastisch habe ich direkt alle Teile der Necrons aus dem GuĂrahmen gelöst und gedacht, ich kann schon durch Ausprobieren sehen, ob die Teile dann zusammenpassen. Das war aber nicht der Fall. Nachdem ich zwei Necrons zusammengeklebt hatte, bei denen die Teile zu passen schienen, kam es bei der dritten Figur nicht mehr hin. Bei dem Versuch, die beiden Arme passend zu schieben, brach mir dann auch prompt ein Arm am Handgelenk ab. Vielleicht werde ich das demnĂ€chst stiften und zurecht feilen, erst einmal habe ich dann wohl nur zwei Necrons. Da ich diese nicht sammeln werde, ist das nicht weiter schlimm, fĂŒr die Zukunft muss ich mir dann aber hinter die Ohren schreiben, lieber nur eine Miniatur nach der anderen zusammenzubauen, damit ich die passenden Teile verwende!

| A little too enthusiastically I immediately removed all parts from the sprue and thought I could find matching parts via trial and error. This was not the case. After having glued together two Necrons where the parts seemd to be fitting, the remainig parts did not want to go together. While trying to push the arms into the proper position for connecting an arm promptly snapped at the wrist. Perhaps I am going to pin it in the future but for now I am left with only two Necrons. I will not collect this army so that is not such a big problem - for the future I have to drive into me to just build one miniature after another to be sure I use the fitting parts! |
Neben den Space Marines befasse ich mich derzeit hauptsÀchlich mit Battletech. Auf dem PC lÀuft zwischendurch eine Runde "MechWarrior 5 - Mercenaries" und zusammen mit einem Freund habe ich mir die von Spielern erstellte Online-Variante des Brettspiels "MegaMek" angesehen. Wir haben uns zwei Einheiten aufgestellt und spielen einen Stadtkampf gegen einen KI-Gegner mit gleicher StÀrke. Wenn ihr hierzu etwas lesen möchtet, sagt mir gerne Bescheid! Ein weiteres GebÀude aus den Adventskalender-Plastik-Teilen ist ebenfalls bald fertig und wartet nur noch auf die Bemalung.

| Besides my Space Marines I mostly occupy mysel with Battletech at the moment. On my PC I do some Battle in "MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries" from time to time and I started to work into "MegaMek" - the fan-made online version of the boardgame - together with a friend. We managed to set up two units and started a city fight against the KI with equal battle value. If you would like to hear something about this, just leave me a comment! Another building made from the plastic parts of advent calendars is nearing completion, too and just waits for the paint job. |
