Warhammer 40k - Dreadnought Progress!

in Tabletop / DND17 hours ago (edited)

Hello everyone! Zak Ludick here from Cape Town, South Africa.

I have made more progress building my custom Space Wolf Venerable Dreadnoughts!

I have been planning and thinking about how I would accomplish this for a long time now. So it is extremely gratifying to see it all come together now into wonderful and brutal warmachines!

Let's dive in!

This axe, with its Chaos symbol shaved off and the majority of spikes turned to studs is joined to the Dreadnought hand and haft.

Meanwhile this Dreadnought got a bit of a glow-up with wolf bits and wolf pelt bits. This is why I do not throw anything away.

I do not have Space Wolf specific sarcophagi lids, so I put a but of space wolf detailing bits on the cover plate.

The Original handle for the Shield was removed and I attached the fist. After mounting the Heavy Flamer I had to redo this part and put a spacer in between the fist and shield so that the flamer not clash with the shield.

Meanwhile for the other Dreadnought I had a plan to enhance its look. I had this bit which I think is a chest piece of Horus Heresy Terminator.

I then got a Space Wolf Firstborn themed Helmet from my bits...

And glued in a baseplate at the bottom. There was some shaving involved to make it all fit.

The cover plate was removed and the new chest piece was to be inserted. The Space Wolf Venerable Dreadnought and the Space Marine Venerable Dreadnoughts have similar chassis with what looks like a Space Marine's helmet sticking out.

Mine will just be unique.

Here are both Axes side by side. Awesome!

And finally, I put everything together! They look so EPIC! Excited! They will look even better once painted!

Thank you for checking out this post!

Cheers!
