My Reviews are behind - I might be posting a lot in quick succession.
Hey everyone. If you check my blog recently, then you will see that I spent quite some time in the hospital and this ended up with an eventual surgery. The surgery went well and I am on my way to full recovery.
But I have fallen behind on my 40k Reviews. I know I won't earn much from posting many posts in one day, but I would really just like to get all the reviews done for these factions before I am too late and the Indexes are replaced by the Codex entries.
I want to be able to analyze what is lost and what is gained.
I am back at home from the hospital and I am basically laying on my back. I can at least sit/lay and blog and catch up where I can.
Even though I am posting a lot and the main focus is to post, not earn, I will not switch earnings off. This is part of a Hobby Fund and Fund Raiser so those that want to upvote me are welcome to!
Fund Raiser - Helping a friend with funding for a Wedding!
This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
The total remaining is $481.5!

What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!
Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!

Astra Militarum, Sergeant Harker
10th Edition Index
Sergeant Harker is an absolutely jacked Catachan Jungle Fighter that wields a Heavy Bolter all on his own. This weapon is usually carried and fired by a team of two guardsmen but in this case, this big guy can carry and fire this gun on his own, and at great accuracy.
He also gives a unit of Catachans a bunch of cool rules. However, he is NOT in the new Astra Militarum Codex for 10th Edition.
I still would not mind getting hold of his stats.
He costs 40pts to field and you can no longer buy him from the webstore.

Sustained Hits 1 (On a roll of a 6 to Hit, score 1 additional hit)

4 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Abilities
Scouts 6" - Before the game begins, this unit can move 6".
Feel No Pain 6+
Orders: Harker can issue 1 Order per turn to Catachan Jungle Fighters only.
Harkin's Hellraisers
While leading a unit, if the enemy is more than 12" away from Harker's unit, they suffer a -1 to Hit penalty

That's his quote!
Once per game his Heavy Bolter can get 6 Attacks and Sustained Hits 3. Sustained hits 3 means you roll a 6 on the to Hit Dice and get 3 additional hits.
Statistically 6 attacks at BS 3+ means 4 hits, 2 miss and 1x 6, which gives you 3 hits back so 7 hits!
Of course you could miss more and get no 6's or you can hit all and get 2-3 6's, Sometimes the dice are like that. But 7 hits average is pretty awesome!
Thoughts
Harker is obviously cool but no longer available in the new Codex. No need to analyse him too closely. He would make a unit last a bit longer, get in close, unleash Payback and then camp on an objective or counter-charge where needed.
Solid gains for 40pts.
That makes 54 Astra Militarum Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 88.52% Completed. The total Completed is 26.52% Complete! Can I review them all?!
