My Reviews are behind - I might be posting a lot in quick succession.
Hey everyone. If you check my blog recently, then you will see that I spent quite some time in the hospital and this ended up with an eventual surgery. The surgery went well and I am on my way to full recovery.
But I have fallen behind on my 40k Reviews. I know I won't earn much from posting many posts in one day, but I would really just like to get all the reviews done for these factions before I am too late and the Indexes are replaced by the Codex entries.
I want to be able to analyze what is lost and what is gained.
I am back at home from the hospital and I am basically laying on my back. I can at least sit/lay and blog and catch up where I can.
Even though I am posting a lot and the main focus is to post, not earn, I will not switch earnings off. This is part of a Hobby Fund and Fund Raiser so those that want to upvote me are welcome to!
Fund Raiser - Helping a friend with funding for a Wedding!
This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.
The total remaining is $481.5!

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!

Astra Militarum, Stormsword

Finally! This is my final post of Baneblade Variants! Right at the bottom of the list is the Stormsword.
This tanks's main gun has a moderate range with high strength and AP, it is capable of shooting most of a Squad of Space Marines dead in a volley.
What tops all of this, there is a concussive blast around the target, dealing damage to many units.
It comes with the usual array of additional guns.
It is 495pts to field a Stormsword and it costs $185 to buy!

This tank's main gun is the Stormsword Siege Cannon. It also has 2x Lascannons, 1x Twin Heavy Bolter, 2x Twin Heavy Flamers.
The 2x Twin Heavy Flamers can be exchanged for 2x Heavy Bolters.
It can also be equipped with an additional 2x lascannons and either 2x Twin Heavy Bolters or 2x Twin Heavy Flamers
Ranged Weapons
Stormsword Siege Cannon
48" Range, D6+6 Shots, Hitting on 4+, S16, AP-4 and D6+2 Damage each.
Ignores Cover (Enemies do not get Benefit of Cover against this attack)
Blast (Add an additional attack per 5 enemy units in the target unit.
Lascannon
48" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on 4+, S12, AP-3 and D6+1 Damage each.
Twin Heavy Bolter
36" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 4+, S5, AP-1 and 2 Damage each.
Sustained Hits 1 (Rolls of a 6 to Hit cause an additional hit)
Twin Linked (This weapon can re-roll to Wound rolls)
Twin Heavy Flamer
12" Range, D6 Shots, Hitting on Auto, S5, AP-1 and 1 Damage each.
Torrent (This weapon hits automatically, just roll for the number of attacks)
Ignores Cover (Enemies do not get Benefit of Cover against this attack)
Twin Linked (This weapon can re-roll to Wound rolls)
Heavy Stubber
36" Range, 3 Shots, Hitting on 4+, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Rapid Fire 3 (Agin 3 additional shots at half range of 18")
Melee Weapons
Armoured Tracks
6 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S8, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Abilities
Deadly Demise D6+2 (When this tank is destoryed, roll a dice, on a 6 it explodes dealing D6+2 Mortal Wounds to every unit within 6")
Concussive Wave
When allocating this unit's attack (before the main gun kills that unit), measure out and see home many other units are within 3" of that unit. Roll a D6 for each. Each unit that gets a 5+ suffers D3 Mortal Wounds.
Thoughts
AP-4 with Ignores Cover is nasty.
D6+6 attacks is nasty.
D6+2 Wound is nasty.
I have no doubt that this gun will kill most things that it is pointed at, unless it is a Titanic super heavy tank, which will take damage.
Everything else is going to get wrecked!
