My Reviews are behind - I might be posting a lot in quick succession.
Hey everyone. If you check my blog recently, then you will see that I spent quite some time in the hospital and this ended up with an eventual surgery. The surgery went well and I am on my way to full recovery.
But I have fallen behind on my 40k Reviews. I know I won't earn much from posting many posts in one day, but I would really just like to get all the reviews done for these factions before I am too late and the Indexes are replaced by the Codex entries.
I want to be able to analyze what is lost and what is gained.
I am back at home from the hospital and I am basically laying on my back. I can at least sit/lay and blog and catch up where I can.
Even though I am posting a lot and the main focus is to post, not earn, I will not switch earnings off. This is part of a Hobby Fund and Fund Raiser so those that want to upvote me are welcome to!
Fund Raiser - Helping a friend with funding for a Wedding!
This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!

Astra Militarum, Tempestus Scions
10th Edition Index
Boots on the ground, the Tempestus Scions are some of the best non-altered warriors of the Imperium.
They have good aim, wear medium armour and have a bit of armor penetration on their lasguns.
Currently not for same but 60pts to field a 5 man unit and 120pts for a 10 man unit.
Let's check their stats.

Weapons
The Tempestor is armed with a Hot-Shot Laspistol.
The 4-9 Tempestors have Hot-Shot Lasguns and Close Combat Weapons.
The Tempestor can exchange their Hot-Shot Laspistol for either a Bolt Pistol or a Plasma Pistol.
The Tempestor can exchange their Chainsword for either a Power Weapon or a Power Fist.
1x Scion can exchange its Hot-Shot Lasgun for a Hot-Shot Laspistol and a Vox-caster.
For every 5 models in this unit, 2 models can exchange their Hot-Shot Lasguns for the following. (And the two weapons need to be different. Unless the squad is 10 strong in which case you can go a max of 2 of the same weapon.

Flamer
12" Range, D6 Shots, Hitting on Auto, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Torrent (This weapon hits automatically. Just roll for the number of attacks)
Ignores Cover (The enemy cannot get Benefit of Cover against this attack.
Grenade Launcher - Frag firing option
24" Range, D3 Shots, Hitting on +3, S4, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Blast (Add 1 attack for every 5 enemy models in the target unit)
Grenade Launcher - Krak firing option
24" Range, 1 Shot, Hitting on +3, S9, AP-2 and D3 Damage each.
Melee Weapons
Close Combat Weapon
2 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S3, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Chainsword
4 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S3, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Power Weapon
3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S4, AP-2 and 1 Damage each.

3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S6, AP-2 and 2 Damage each.
Abilities
Deep Strike - When set up from Strategic Reserves it can be set up anywhere on the board more than 9" from an enemy unit.
Storm Troopers
Each time this unit attacks, they re-roll 1's to Hit. If the target is within range of an Objective, they can re-roll ALL hit rolls.
Wargear Ability: Vox-Caster
When the bearer's unit uses a Stratagem, roll a dice. Add 1 to the result if there is an Officer in the unit. On a 5+ you gain 1CP.
Thoughts
They are fairly solid. A 5 man unit could wield a Grenade Launcher and Meltagun. a 10 man squad can double down on on of the guns or they can go full compliment and take 4 different special weapons.
All in all I think the squad is well worth the points.
That makes 61 Astra Militarum Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 100% Completed. The total Completed is 27.29% Complete! Can I review them all?!
