My Reviews are behind - I might be posting a lot in quick succession.
Hey everyone. If you check my blog recently, then you will see that I spent quite some time in the hospital and this ended up with an eventual surgery. The surgery went well and I am on my way to full recovery.
But I have fallen behind on my 40k Reviews. I know I won't earn much from posting many posts in one day, but I would really just like to get all the reviews done for these factions before I am too late and the Indexes are replaced by the Codex entries.
I want to be able to analyze what is lost and what is gained.
I am back at home from the hospital and I am basically laying on my back. I can at least sit/lay and blog and catch up where I can.
Even though I am posting a lot and the main focus is to post, not earn, I will not switch earnings off. This is part of a Hobby Fund and Fund Raiser so those that want to upvote me are welcome to!
Fund Raiser - Helping a friend with funding for a Wedding!
This post is part of the current Fund Raiser where a friend has given me an offer to buy a collection of Warhammer models, the money will go to putting down deposits for his wedding arrangements.
After that I have two other hobby debts to sort out.
I am collecting funds in the following ways:
- Blogging about Warhammer to earn HBD
- Accepting donations - Can be sent directly to @zakl.hobbyfund in HBD
- Selling some of the collection to friends.

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.
I should have started when 10th edition launched!

Aeldari, Wave Serpent
10th Edition Index
Wave Serpents are skimmers with both a bit of shooting potential, at the same level as a War Walker, but with transportation Capacity.
Being Aeldari and being usually just a little bit more technologically advanced than humanity, it sports an invulnerable save and shielding technology that can be used as a weapon.
I liken it to being like a Razorback. Not as much firepower as one of their capitol gun tanks like a Falcon, but still packing something to be afraid of.
Usually they have 1x10 man unit or 2x5 man units with or without leaders. It is very easy for them to stick 5x Striking Scorpions and 5x Fire Dragons in there, making them that much more dangerous!
They cost 110pts to field (Same as the War Walker) and $65 to buy.

Standard main gun is a Twin Shuriken Cannon but it can exchange this for one of the following:

- Twin Scatterlaser
It is also armed with a Twin Shuriken Catapult, this can be exchanged for a Shuriken Cannon.

Wraithbone Hull
3 Attacks, Hitting on 4+, S6, AP0 and 1 Damage each.
Abilities
Deadly Demise D3 - When this model is destroyed, roll a die, on a 1 it explodes dealing D3 Mortal Wounds to every unit within 6" of it.
Transport 12 - This model can transport up to 12 Infantry Models, Wraith Constructs take up 2 spaces. It cannot transport Jump Pack models.
Wave Serpent Shield
Once per battle, in your Shooting phase this ability can be used. Select one enemy within 12" and visible to this model and roll a die. On a 2+ that enemy unit suffers D3 Mortal Wounds and must take a Battleshock test.
Thoughts
Right, so the most sensible and obvious way an annoying and good Aeldari player will use the Serpent Shield is to zoom toward an objective held by my troops, offload their troops on top of the objective and the fire the Serpent Shield forcing a Battle-Shock test.
This creates a possibility of failure of that Battle-Shock test and the unit dropping to OC0 and the Aeldari taking the objective without killing anything.
D3 Mortals could see you killing a model or three depending on the target.
Other than that... Twin linked heavy weapons make this vehicle more dangerous than the War Walker. I don't like the look of a Twin Bright Lance.
That makes 54 Aeldari Datasheets Reviewed putting them on 90% Completed. The total Completed is 27.51% Complete! Can I review them all?!

Such long posts! Maybe you could make a container post and provide one link that would show all your posts?
Container post? How do you mean?
Yeah the thing that is making these posts long are the links to the other reviews.
Sort of need the references so I can fill in the gaps as I go.
You could make a post with all those links, then on your most recent post only add the link to the post that contains the links and start over adding new links, until it begins to fill your post and then make another container.
Maybe that wouldn't work for you, though.
Well... I can certainly try that.
Its a bit more tricky if I go random through the factions, but since I am trying to match the release dates, I SHOULD be able to do it in faction blocks.

Right. I have had a look at it, I am at 90% of the Aeldari stuff... let me finish that and then I can "pinch it off" and create this container post and try it out!
