No pude resistirme a participar, porque hay varias mujeres en mi vida a las que deseo honrar; primeramente a mi madre Rosa Hurtado y sus hermanas; mis tías Luisa y Josefina Hurtado, quienes fallecieron por cáncer de mama y cáncer de útero, respectivamente. También hago presente a mis amigas Flor Patiño y Xiomara Pereira, que en la actualidad luchan contra este mal, pero que tienen la mejor actitud para afrontar esa enfermedad.

Para este proyecto necesitamos:
2 ganchos, garfios o anzuelos para zarcillos. Estos los retiré de un par que no usaba
2 perlas rosadas
2 dijes de flores que usaba en una pulsera
1 cinta de 7 cms de ancho
2 palitos o pines de alambre para engarzar cuentas
1 cordón multicolor
2 aros
Alicates para bisutería.

La elaboración comienza de la siguiente manera:
1- Insertar el pin de metal por el orificio de la flor, luego por la perla y sacarlo por la flor.

2- Cortar el alambre dejando libre 5 cms, para doblar y formar un aro.

3- Colocar cada aro; una flor y un gancho o anzuelo para formar el arete. Reservamos, mientras elaboramos las borlas.

4- Cortar dos pedazos de 12 cms de la cinta. Deshilachar en forma horizontal hasta que no se pueda.

5- En ese punto, se busca la punta del hilo más delgado que se desteje en forma vertical, es decir, por el borde de la cinta. Sacar toda esa hebra.

6- Al realizar el paso 5, encontramos que es más fácil sacar toda la hebra que va en forma horizontal. Destejer hasta la mitad.

7- Amarrar y destejer la cinta por la otra mitad. Colocar una argolla o aro.

8- Tomar el cordón multicolor para amarrarlo, dando varias vueltas y finalmente hacer el nudo.

9- Medir 5 cms para cortar el sobrante. Realicé una especie de sobre de 5 cms, para meter la borla y cortar.

10- Encajar la borla en la pieza del zarcillo.

Este tipo de aretes son ocasionales. A mí me perecen elegantes y sobrios. Las borlas pueden ser más cortas o, tal vez, más largas; todo depende de la preferencia. También se pueden usar cintas más angostas y del color que gustes, así mismo es posible usar varios colores de cintas.

This type of earrings are occasional. I find them elegant and sober. The tassels can be shorter or, perhaps, longer; it all depends on preference. You can also use narrower ribbons and the color you like, and it is also possible to use several colors of ribbons.
