This week my inspiration has been a Splinterlands card, specifically I have analyzed all the cards in which there are snakes, so I have based on these cards to make my beads figures; such as: Silent Sha-vi, Twilight Basilisk, Uraeus and others. Basically, my creation is inspired by all those cards, but keeping the basic colours of Twilight Basilisk, but it will have the big eyes and protruding eyes like Silent Sha-vi, as well as having the tongue out like Twilight Basilisk and Uraeus.
Esta semana mi inspiración ha sido una carta de Splinterlands, específicamente he analizado todas las cartas en las que hay serpientes, así que en estas me he basado para realizar mis figuras de mostacillas; tales como: Silent Sha-vi, Twilight Basilisk, Uraeus y otros. Básicamente, mi creación está inspirada en todas esas cartas, pero conservando los colores básicos de Twilight Basilisk, pero tendrá los ojos grandes y sobresalientes como Silent Sha-vi, además de tener la lengua afuera como Twilight Basilisk y Uraeus.

This time I used sky blue beads, plus other shades of blue for the body.
Red beads for the tongue and a couple of black beads for the eyes.

It is also important to draw a pattern with the quantities of beads to use, to guide us easily, although we can also make some changes while we are doing the procedure.

- También es importante dibujar un patrón con las cantidades de mostacillas a usar, para poder guiarnos con facilidad, aunque también podemos realizar algunos cambios mientras realizamos el procedimiento.

Step 1.
- The first step is to place a red bead on the wire, then at both ends of the wire we place two beads, so the first one will serve to keep the first part of our creation tight and firm.
- El primer paso consiste en colocar una mostacilla roja en el alambre, luego en los dos extremos del alambre colocamos dos mostacillas, así la primera servirá para mantener ajustada y firme la primera parte de nuestra creación.
- On one of the ends we will place three beads and that same wire must go back along that line of beads, so we will get two red lines in the shape of a V. This will be the tongue of our snake.
- En uno de los extremos vamos a colocar tres mostacillas y ese mismo alambre debe regresar por esa línea de mostacillas, así obtendremos dos líneas rojas en forma de V. Esta será la lengua de nuestra serpiente.
- Now we will have the two ends of the wire at the bottom, so it will be easier to continue linking beads and giving shape to the rest of the body of our snake.
- Ahora tendremos los dos extremos del alambre en la parte de abajo, así será más fácil continuar enlazando mostacillas y dándole forma al resto del cuerpo de nuestra serpiente.
Step 2.
- Before we start linking, we must first place 2 additional red beads to the previous ones, so we will form a Y shape. Now if we can make the head with blue beads, the first 4 lines will consist of 2,3,4 and 5 beads, that is to say, in ascending order to obtain a triangular figure.
- Antes de comenzar a enlazar, primero debemos colocar 2 mostacillas rojas adicionales a las anteriores, así formaremos la forma de una Y. Ahora si podemos hacer la cabeza con mostacillas azules, las primeras 4 líneas constará de 2,3,4 y 5 mostacillas, es decir, en orden ascendente para obtener una figura triangular.
- In the fourth line we must add the black beads to place the eyes, but in this case the wire must go on top, and then we return it to its original position, so we continue linking the lines of beads, specifically 2 lines of 6 beads, a line of 5 beads and a line of 4. This will be the head of our snake.
- En la cuarta línea debemos añadir las mostacillas negras para colocar los ojos, pero en este caso el alambre debe ir por arriba y luego lo regresamos a su posición original, así continuamos enlazando las líneas de mostacillas, específicamente 2 líneas de 6 mostacillas, una línea de 5 mostacillas y una línea de 4. Esta será la cabeza de nuestra serpiente.
Step 3.
- Now we can begin to make the body of the snake, these lines will be made up of several lines of 3 beads, but we must place different shades of blue. These shades of blue will be alternating, so we generate a small distortion resembling the skin of the snakes, but it was not appropriate to saturate our creation, as the splinterlands figures are characterized by having a main tone and at least 1 or 2 highlighting tones.
- Ahora podemos empezar a realizar el cuerpo de la serpiente, estas líneas serán conformadas por varias líneas de 3 mostacillas, pero debemos ir colocando diferentes tonos de azul. Estos tonos de azul se irán alternando, así generamos una pequeña distorsión asemejándose a la piel de las serpientes, pero tampoco era adecuado saturar a nuestra creación, ya que las figuras de splinterlands se caracterizan por tener un tono principal y al menos 1 o 2 tonos resaltantes.
- It is also ideal to shape the snake's body with the wire to create small undulations along the snake's body. After finishing, I also added a little more thickness with various lines of white beads, this would also allow us to create the typical bottom part of the snakes, which normally have a different tone than the top part.
- También es ideal ir dándole forma al cuerpo de la serpiente con el alambre, así crearemos pequeñas ondulaciones a lo largo del cuerpo de la serpiente. Después de finalizar, también le añadí un poco más de grosor con varias líneas de mostacillas blancas, esta también nos permitiría crear la típica parte de abajo de las serpientes, que normalmente tienen un tono diferente a la parte superior.
Conclusión. / Conclusion.
- It has been for me quite exciting and fun to be able to generate this Splinterlands-inspired beads figure, I also love the shape and the colors it has. Finally, I suggest that if you want to make a similar figure you can add the changes you want, because normally these kinds of creations allow us to let our imagination fly and customize it to our liking.
