Tallado de madera: hoja con esfera cristalina como símbolo del agua/ Wood carving: leaf with crystalline sphere as a symbol of water [versión Es-En]

¡Saludos amantes de las artesanías y las joyas!

Me di una cita hoy con los retazos de madera, por ser un día libre tenía muchas ganas de hacer algo creativo y ecológico pero que sobretodo tuviera un toque de elegancia para mostrarlo aquí en la comunidad de las joyas.

Me inspiré en hacer un pedante con un motivo especial, se trata del tallado de una hoja de árbol en un recorte de madera de cedro con una esfera cristalina incrustada en el lado superior izquierdo que simboliza el agua que riega nuestras plantas.

Greetings crafts and jewelry lovers!

I made an appointment today with the wooden scraps, since it was a free day I really wanted to do something creative and ecological but above all that had a touch of elegance to show it here in the jewelry community.

I was inspired to make a pedant with a special motif, it is the carving of a tree leaf in a cedar wood cutout with a crystalline sphere embedded in the upper left side that symbolizes the water that waters our plants.

Iniciamos haciendo un boceto del diseño en una hoja con lápiz para luego transferir el tamaño al recorte de madera. Cómo mi intención esa elaborar un pedante para colgar en el cuello, bien sea de un hombre o mujer, lo hice de 5 centímetros de largo por 2 centímetros de ancho.

Después de transferirlo a la madera recorte con la sierra manual y con la ayuda de la lija y el dremel conseguí la forma del diseño de una hoja.

We start by sketching the design on a sheet of paper with a pencil and then transferring the size to the wooden cutout. Since my intention is to make a pedant to hang around the neck, whether of a man or woman, I made it 5 centimeters long by 2 centimeters wide.

After transferring it to the wood, I cut it out with the hand saw and with the help of the sandpaper and the dremel I got the shape of the design of a leaf.

Ya en el segundo paso comenzamos a profundizar ma sobre el arte del tallado, con mechas diamantadas pequeñas empecé tallando la vena central de una hoja, la hice en forma de s" para luego colocar en una lado la esfera cristalina que simboliza la importancia del agua para nuestro pulmón vegetal.

En este paso también aplique lija número 220 para quitar la porosidad.

Con una piedra redonda de esmerilar hice un orificio para incrustar la esfera cristalina.

In the second step we began to delve deeper into the art of carving, with small diamond bits I began carving the central vein of a leaf, I made it in the shape of an "s" and then placed on one side the crystalline sphere that symbolizes the importance of water for our plant lung.

In this step I also applied number 220 sandpaper to remove porosity.

With a round grinding stone I made a hole to embed the crystalline sphere.

Como tercer y último paso continué dando más detalles a la hoja, para esto adelgacé con la lija la parte posterior de la hoja para que no quedará tan gruesa y le hice venas a un lado, calando con la punta delgada de una mecha y el dremel. Luego le eche una base de verde manzana y mezclando verde oscuro con un poco de negro, le di dos capas de pintura sobre la superficie y dejé secar 15 minutos.

Para colgargo perforé la parte superior con una mecha y atravesé el cordón marrón.

Después de secar bien apliqué brillo de aceite teca para mejorar es aspecto rústico de nuestro diseño.

As a third and final step, I continued giving more details to the blade. To do this, I thinned the back of the blade with sandpaper so that it wouldn't be so thick, and I made veins on one side, using the thin tip of a wick and the dremel. . Then I added a base of apple green and mixing dark green with a little black, I gave two coats of paint on the surface and let it dry for 15 minutes.

To hang it, I pierced the top with a wick and passed the brown cord through.

After drying well, I applied teak oil gloss to enhance the rustic aspect of our design.

Muchas gracias por leer, fue un trabajo sencillo pero toma tiempo el tallado para conseguir un buen acabado, en realidad lo hago porque me gusta y estoy coleccionando para usos en casa, casi siempre los hago para que mi esposa o hija tengan algo nuevo y original que lucir a la hora de un evento o en su andar del día a día.
