To me, today was a very pleasant day
Lemme share a bit, my mum got me beautiful things i could take back home to school as i resume, and that was more than enough to make me excited through out the day and even as I'm writing to you all here, I'm writing with a lot of excitement....
So out of excitements and for the fact that i wanted my going back home to school to be a beautiful one so i made a necklace for myself just so nothing will be left out when i travel
At where i school, that is in Calabar, it a very local area that always hosts a lot of traditional events and wearing traditional outfits, bead complements it a lot and that's why, for the few days or weeks i have left , I'll be busy making beads so that i can attend as many events as possible
I made this beautiful necklace for myself using these few materials:
Necklace hook, Black beads, White beads ,Green beads, scissors ✂️, fishing line etc ...
And i used these few steps in making it :
I first cut out my fishing line to a very long size that will be enough for the necklace so that i womt need to join another later
And the i first picked one part of my hook and inserted it into the middle of the fishing line and tied it properly
I then picked two green bead into the fishing line but one for each fishing line since i had two edge of fishing line now
After then , i added white beads into it, one white bead into each edge of the fishing line
And that wasn't all, i picked another green beads into the fishing lines, one green bead for each of the fishing line
This was the point i made use of my black bead, i picked up a single black bead and the merged the two fishing lines together to make it one and then inserted the bead into the fishing line
And after this, i spread the fishing line again to make a two and then for one side i picked a green, a white and then a green again into it and i repeated same for the other side
And to create more of the shape i had in the first completed step, i picked another black bead, merged the fishing line and then inserted the one black bead into it
Again, I picked a green , white and green bead again into the fishing line
I merged the fishing line and inserted a single black bead into
It
That was how i continued the process of making it, a green , white and green and the a black gradually
The repeated process consistently got me to this size , and at this point the necklace went round my neck
I then picked up my hook, the other side and inserted it and tied it properly, and at thus point i was done with making the necklace
And then i wore it with because i couldn't wait ,when i wore it, this is what it looked like one me ,Very demure 😂💚
I liked it a lot,i was getting lots of compliments when i wore it to snapped and it made me so proud
The journey to my preparation has begun 🙂,
